Srixon Premium Golf Stand Bag Review: NCG Summary

NCG Summary
The new Srixon Premium Golf Stand Bag is a great standard size carry bag. With 8 different pockets for storage and a 6 way divider top, it’s a great option for any golfer who doesn’t want to stomp on size.
With that said, it only weighs 2.6kg, and can be carried or easily strapped to a trolley.
The straps had plenty of padding, which was great to carry.
PROS
- Sits well on trolley
- Lightweight
- Plenty of storage
- Leg’s have a strap
CONS
- None
First Impressions
I don’t think I’ve ever used a Srixon golf bag and this premium stand bag looked very nice straight out of the box. I would consider this to be a fairly standard size carry bag but it does weigh in pretty light at 2.6kg.

The top of this bag has a 6 way divider which is great as well as 8 pockets in the bag. I particularly liked the magnetic front pocket, this is great for someone like me who always leaves their pockets unzipped.
There is also a cart-strap channel meaning that it should sit pretty well on the trolley or cart. An umbrella strap and holder is also on the bag.
I tested this bag out in the navy/red colour way but if this doesn’t suit your eye there is a navy/black and Black/Red Camo designs available.
NCG Verdict
To give this bag a fair test I used it to both carry for a round and on my trolley as I alternate a lot between carrying and not.
This Srixon carry bag has a dual shoulder strap that is filled with plenty of padding. On my back it felt very comfortable. I don’t over fill the bag too much despite there being ample storage but it was nice that with all fourteen clubs in play it wasn’t overly heavy.

As mentioned, I tend to use a carry bag all year round but I do also like the option of using a trolley in summer. With my previous bags I’ve found myself trying different ways to keep the legs together so they didn’t interfere when on the trolley. Srixon has this issue covered, adding in a strap to keep the legs secure. There is also a cart strap pass channel to allow you to thread the trolley strap through for extra stability.

There is also an umbrella holder on the outside of this bag which is very handy – as well as a velcro glove patch. Off the bottom of this is a plastic towel ring, a great place to attach a rangefinder case or a Spurk Mat.

In terms of storage this bag has plenty to offer.
There is 8 different pockets, 5 of which are zipped. I particularly enjoyed the magnetic front pocket.
As someone who tends to leave my bag pockets open it was nice to know I could throw my phone, a glove or ball in there and it would firmly close. Whilst this isn’t a waterproof golf bag the valuables pocket on the side does have a waterproof zip in case you do get caught in a shower.
Srixon Premium Golf Stand Bag Review: Final Thoughts
Overall, I did really enjoy using this golf bag. I think it’s a great option for any player looking for a standard to larger sized carry bag.
And, if you like to alternate between carrying and trollies it’s a real winner too.
