4 star review
NCG SUMMARY

The FootJoy Cap Sleeve Print Interlock polo is a slight twist on a standard sleeveless polo. With slightly extended sleeves that cover the top part of the shoulder but still allow some sun on the upper area a regular polo would miss.

The silky polyester feel is lightweight and easy to care for being crease-resistant and quick drying.

PROS

  • Silky feel
  • Tame pattern, not too in your face
  • Quick drying and crease resistant

CONS

  • Limited sizing options

FootJoy Cap Sleeve Print Interlock polo review: First impressions

As a fair-skinned female golfer, I always love the idea of getting some sun on my shoulders during a round of golf. Unfortunately, this often ends with painfully burnt shoulders having baked in the heat for hours. I love the concept of shorter capped sleeves, which shows a little more skin yet provides a little more shoulder coverage than your regular sleeveless polo.

It took a couple of examinations to work out the design of this polo. Is it an animal print? Is it floral? The answer is that I’m not 100% sure but it looks great regardless and it is offered in four different colourways they all follow the style. I liked the block colour on the collar and the button area, rather than the whole shirt being patterned.

FootJoy Cap Sleeve Print Interlock polo review: On course testing

I wore this a couple of times on different occasions so I feel like I’ve got a good mixture of testing under my belt before writing this.

The first couple of times I wore this I actually never ended up with it on show as the weather was too bad and I had a jumper on top. On those occasions, I very much enjoyed this polo and never felt too sweaty with it on. I also never really questioned the fit until recently when I wore it on its own. Being 5ft 8 I’m quite a tall female and this an overly long polo meaning I did have to keep re-tucking it into my trousers.

Much like my other FJ tops I wore this in a UK12. I enjoyed the silky feel of this shirt but I did feel at times that it was clingy to me. I don’t think that the shirt was too small but that the material just fell that way.

This polo is made from 100% polyester meaning that it is very lightweight. It also washes really well and dries almost perfectly crease-free. The cap sleeve design means that your armpits aren’t confined by sleeves and so they can breathe a little better. The fabric includes moisture-wicking technology making it a great addition to your summer wardrobe.

FootJoy Cap Sleeve Print Interlock polo review: The 19th hole

As someone who often avoids sleeveless golf polos, I enjoyed this hybrid shirt. Whilst it was great out on the course I can’t see myself wearing it off of the course but that’s a personal preference.
