TaylorMade has been one of the most dominant driver manufacturers in golf for years, but which of the world’s best players are currently playing a TaylorMade driver?

Which golfers use a TaylorMade driver on tour?

The Big Guns

TaylorMade may lay claim to the strongest three-man scramble team in all of golf, with Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Dustin Johnson all currently using TaylorMade drivers. The trio have amassed 21 major championships and more than 125 PGA TOUR titles between them, with their dominance off the tee a huge part of this success.

Tiger and Rory have only just started using TaylorMade drivers in the last few years, but DJ has been one of the brand’s central faces for years now, first used by the company to advertise their R11s range more than a decade ago.

Major Champions

No player in the world is playing better golf right now than Scottie Scheffler. The American has won four times on the PGA Tour in the last two months en route to becoming the world number 1, including claiming the green jacket after a dominant showing at Augusta. Playing the TaylorMade Stealth Plus, Scheffler has been red hot off the tee and is now one of the brands leading players.

Collin Morikawa is also one of the best golfers in the world right now, and utilised his TaylorMade driver to win both the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 Open. The 25-year-old has also picked up five wins on the PGA TOUR to date, and although his iron play is often cited as his biggest strength, Morikawa has been able to attack greens so regularly because of his consistency off the tee.

Recently returning to the TaylorMade driver family is Sergio Garcia. The Spaniard needs no introduction with more than 30 worldwide tour wins, including a Green Jacket, and a record points total in the Ryder Cup. Garcia consistently ranks among the best drivers in the sport and finished the 2020-2021 PGA Tour season third in strokes gained off the tee.

Rising Talents

Looking to emulate the success of Garcia off the tee using TaylorMade drivers are Harry Higgs and Matthew Wolff. Two of the brand’s brightest prospects, both play the TaylorMade Stealth Plus driver and each picked up top 5 finishes in majors this past year.

European Fan Favourites

Admired by his peers as one of the game’s best ball strikers, Englishman Tommy Fleetwood signed with TaylorMade in 2020 and currently uses the SIM 2 Max driver. Despite having a quiet year compared to the other stars mentioned in this list, Fleetwood will be looking to put his TaylorMade driver to good use in front of a roaring British crowd at St Andrews in July.

Two other players that will be widely popular among the fans in Scotland this summer are Bob MacIntyre and Sepp Straka. Playing the TaylorMade Stealth Plus, MacIntyre is well known by regular watchers of the European Tour and came up just shy of a place on Padraig Harrington’s Ryder Cup squad.

Straka has also had a meteoric rise in recent years and now sits inside the world’s top 100. Straka plays the Taylormade Stealth Plus, which he used to win the Honda Classic earlier this year.

LPGA Stars

TaylorMade has recently ensured that their top LPGA players also get a share of the limelight within the company’s marketing of new products.

Mexican Maria Fassi finished runner up at the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur, and has kick-started her professional career as a TaylorMade staffer.

Fassi joins Charley Hull as one of TaylorMade’s leading players on the LPGA Tour. Hull is consistently ranked amongst the longest drivers in the women’s game and has exclusively used TaylorMade drivers since moving to the brand in 2019.

While Sung Hyun Park has spent much of the past two seasons suffering from a shoulder injury, the Korean ascended to world number 1 in 2017, all while using TaylorMade drivers. Park has won seven-times on the LPGA Tour which includes two major victories.

Look out for Park and the TaylorMade Stealth Plus throughout 2022 once the LPGA Tour is back in full swing.
