Boom Boom irons and drivers to help the higher handicap golfer

Lynx to launch new Boom Boom irons and drivers

Lynx Golf is to launch new ‘game improver’ Boom Boom irons and stunning Boom Boom 3 drivers with brightly coloured Graffaloy BiMatrx TP steel-tipped shafts.

The family-owned UK golf brand gave a preview of part of its new 2015 collection at The Golf Show in Harrogate.

Lynx unveiled a new ‘game improver’ model of its twin-slot Boom Boom irons designed specifically for higher handicap players.

The irons boast a wider sole than the standard Boom Boom irons and have more offset – a combination which helps players get the ball airborne and proves more forgiving on mis-hits.
we felt that higher handicap players weren’t always fully able to maximise the benefits of the technology" “The extra distance gained by better players to the original Boom Boom irons was phenomenal, but we felt that higher handicap players weren’t always fully able to maximise the benefits of the technology,” said Lynx CEO, Steve Elford.

“Adding offset and widening the sole of the ‘game improver’ version of the Boom Boom irons means even more players will now be able to experience their power and performance.”

Lynx has also increased the custom shaft choice on its superhot Boom Boom 3 driver to include the Augusta-taming GraffaloyBiMatrx Tour Prototype, as used by the 2012 Masters champion Bubba Watson.

Available in six custom color options: Pink, Black, Neon Orange, White, Lime Green and Neon Blue, the BiMatrx Tour Prototype combines the best of both worlds in materials and performance.

A steel tip section delivers stability and control and is joined to an ultralight graphite main shaft, which provides power and increased ball speed.

This unique combination allows golfers to increase driver loft by as much as 30% while offering a 20% reduction in spin rate.

This high launch and low spin blend delivers incredible carry and roll, especially when maximised with the Boom Boom’s revolutionary gas-injected Hot 1 Technology.

Added Elford: “While the stock Aldila Rip’d NV shaft is very high quality, we wanted to give golfers a wider choice to enable them to best match the Boom Boom 3’s incredible performance to their own swing characteristics.

“The Graffaloy BiMatrx looks amazing, performs excellently and is one of a number of different shaft options on offer.”

Lynx is the Official Golf Club of the Ricoh Women’s British Open to 2016 and is dedicated to supporting ‘green grass’ Pro shop business, with more than 450 accounts in the UK, and is an official supplier to the TGI Golf Partnership.
