Born out of Southern California’s laid-back, sun-soaked lifestyle, I don’t think are many better qualified golf brands when it comes to spring and summer golf wear.

That is reflected in the calibre of players who have trusted the brand at the highest level. Major champions like Jon Rahm – who wore TravisMathew during victories at both The Masters and US Open – as well as rising stars such as Akshay Bhatia.

So, what classics have they come out with for the summer of 2026? Here’s a closer look at their latest line-up for both men’s and women’s clothing…

The fabric used in the construction of these trousers is a polyester/elastane blend which TM call micro-ripstop. This fabric, which is also seen in some of their midlayers, is stretchy, durable and very lightweight. It is also moisture-wicking and resistant to wrinkling. If you look closely, there is a grid pattern which adds some visual interest.

It feels wonderfully comfortable next to the skin, and the comfort is enhanced by a tailored, slim fitting design. I tested the version in ‘Mood Indigo’, which means dark blue. It is an absolute delight to wear on the course, with a gripper waistband, four roomy pockets (plus a tiny hidden zip pocket) and a choice of five colours.

The garment runs true to size, and has minimal logos so, as is the case with all TravisMathews gear, it works off the course as well. I’m a bit surprised it comes in just one inside leg measurement at 32”, but other than that I can find no fault with the wonderful Wanderlust, and it comes highly recommended.

PROS

  • Quality fit and construction.
  • Lovely fabric.
  • Good range of colours.

CONS

  • Just one 32” leg length.

RRP: £100.00

Sizes: 30-42

Colours: Khaki, Black, Mood Indigo, Micro Chip & Balsam Green.

TravisMathew B-Bahamas Fitted Hat

I really loved this hat, even though I don’t usually wear caps. The best part is how flexible and comfortable it is – it fits perfectly without feeling tight.

It’s ideal for activities like golf, and I also enjoyed wearing it for padel and will be put to use whilst cricket umpiring this season!

I also wore it on a hot day in Anglesey when on a day out visiting the South Stack Lighthouse at Holyhead (see pic) and served me well whilst climbing the 400 plus steps!

The design is sleek with a clean look, thanks to the embroidered TravisMathew logo on the front. I also liked that the side panels are open, so made it breathable.

It is not a one size fits all cap, with two size choices available.

If you don’t like the white look then the cap is available in black, grey or navy.

PROS

  • Lightweight
  • Great flexible fit
  • Two size options
  • Versatile – you would not know it is a ‘golf’ cap

CONS

  • None – the only cap I can see myself wearing (I suppose it helps my surname begins with ‘M’!)

RRP: £30.00

Sizes: S/M | L/XL

Colours: White, grey, black and navy

TravisMathew Cloud Quarter Zip

5 star review
TravisMathew Cloud sweater quarter zip | Source: NCG
TravisMathew Cloud sweater quarter zip | Source: NCG
TravisMathew Cloud sweater quarter zip | Source: NCG

The Cloud Quarter Zip is constructed from a beautifully soft fabric which is a polyester/cotton/elastane mix. TravisMathew calls the fabric FiberCloud, and it is part of their so-called Elevated Comfort Collection.

There is no doubt that it is a wonderfully comfortable midlayer. It is quite lightweight so I have worn it as a second layer over a polo. It is very easy to layer over if you need extra warmth or waterproofing against the elements.

TravisMathew seem to do ‘tailored yet relaxed’ as well as anyone and this piece is no exception. The fit is enhanced by elasticated cuffs and hem. There is choice of 13 colours and six sizes so they have everything covered with the Cloud Quarter Zip.

My medium size in Heather Medium Grey fitted nicely and looked great. There is minimal logoing with an ‘M’ at the left breast and an unobtrusive signature just below the back collar. This allows you to use the Cloud Quarter Zip for a variety of activities.

It comes highly recommended, and with significant discounts offered in some colours, hurry to grab a bargain!

PROS

  • Quality construction and comfort.
  • Excellent fit.
  • Huge choice of colours

CONS

  • Not the warmest midlayer

RRP: £110.00 (some colours available at £71.50)

Sizes: S-XXXL

Colours: Choice of 13 (!) different colours

This is a smart looking cap from TravisMathew. It comes in just one size with a flexible back strap, so you can adjust to fit perfectly. The rear half of the cap is constructed from a stretchy and perforated fabric to allow ventilation and keep you cool on the course. As such, it is perhaps more suited for your golfing holidays abroad than as an everyday cap for use in the unreliable UK weather.

It offers no protection from wind or cold, but it does look good, particularly in the white test version, one of three colours available.

Because there is just some subtle logoing at front of the cap, the Moonshadow would be perfectly at home in a variety of cap-requiring situations, and it is very comfortable to wear.

PROS

  • Lightweight & breathable.
  • Choice of colours.
  • One size.

CONS

  • Premium price

Sizes: One size

Colours: Black, white and satellite

The Featherweight Salt Breeze Polo is constructed from an extremely lightweight fabric, comprising 86% polyester, 10% cotton and 4% elastane. It is delightfully soft and offers stretch and breathable properties.

It runs true to size. The fit is both tailored and yet relaxed, which really is a feature of TM gear. There is a signature double-needle collar which gives a classic look with built-in collar stays for durability.

The light all-over geometric pattern is understated and yet sharp. There is a small logo on the left chest and no other logoing. It comes in just one colour, white, which suits the pattern and feel of the garment.

The Featherweight Salt Breeze is another TravisMathew garment that looks equally at home on and off the course. As such, it comes highly recommended.

PROS

  • Luxury feel.
  • Quality fit and construction.
  • Versatile.

CONS

  • Just one colour.

TravisMathew Wanderlust Shorts

4.5 star review
best golf shorts

The fabric used in the construction of these shorts is a polyester/elastane blend which TM call micro-ripstop. This fabric, which is also seen in some of their midlayers, is stretchy, durable and very lightweight. It is also moisture-wicking and resistant to wrinkling. If you look closely, there is a grid pattern which I suppose adds some visual interest.

The fit is described as athletic yet relaxed. It looks relaxed to me. The construction and stitching is of premium quality. It comes in no less than seven different colour options and is available in both 7” and 9” inseam so you are sure to find a shade to suit and a size to fit. I tested the version in Quiet Shade, which was a slightly uninspiring grey colour. The 7” inseam was just right for my 173cm height.

There is a soft and elasticated waistband, four roomy pockets and minimal logoing, so, as with all TM stuff, it doesn’t shout ‘golf gear’ at you.

I’m generally a huge fan of the TravisMathew look and quality. And these shorts are another bit of kit that I will enjoy wearing both on and off the course.

PROS:

  • Comfortable premium fabric.
  • Good range of colours.
  • Two length options.

CONS:

  • Premium price

RRP: £69.99 / $89.95

TravisMathew The Heater Polo

5 star review

The Heater Polo is constructed from a fabric, comprising 70% recycled polyester, 23% cotton and 7% spandex. It is delightfully soft and offers four-way stretch and wicking properties. It runs true to size. The fit is both tailored and yet relaxed. There is a signature double-needle collar which gives a classic look with built-in collar stays for durability.

The micro-stripe design is subtle and yet classy. There is a small logo on the left chest and a wordmark just below the rear collar. It comes in a choice of eight colours, so you are sure to find a shade that suits. I liked the Heather Violet Storm version, a sort of pale lilac.

Although it is on the expensive side for a polo, The Heater is the sort of garment that looks equally at home on and off the course. As such, it comes highly recommended.

PROS:

  • Lovely performance fabric.
  • Beautifully tailored.
  • Looks great on and off the course.

CONS:

  • A little pricey

RRP: £74.99 / $89.95

Sizes: S-3XL

TravisMathew Moveknit Game Set Match Skort

5 star review
TravisMathew Moveknit Game Set Match Skort | Source: NCG
TravisMathew Moveknit Game Set Match Skort | Source: NCG

This skort is an absolute wardrobe stable. It’s got an updated wide elasticated waistband that sits well without curling over. It’s constructed from an 84% Polyamide / 16% Elastane Blend that offers a four-way stretch.

This skort is very stretchy so it’s comfortable to be in all day as well as to play in. The shaping it very flattering when on. I wore this in an extra small. I tend to be a uk8 in bottoms but find in skorts I can size down due to the flexible waistband. I’m 5ft 9 and this is a 15” inch lengthskort, I think it sits at a respectable length, but Travis Mathew does over a long length option too.

Two pockets have been added to the front as well as two additional ones on the short’s underneath. Overall, I think this is a great staple skort that you could have in multiple colours.

PROS

  • good pocket options
  • Fits nicely
  • Stable wardrobe item

  • None

TravisMathew Moveknit Sleevless Polo Dress

5 star review
TravisMathew Moveknit Sleeveless Polo Dress | Source: NCG
TravisMathew Moveknit Sleeveless Polo Dress | Source: NCG

I’ve tried quite a few golf dresses over the past couple of years, and this one really ticked a lot of boxes. First off, this is the only golf dress that I’ve tried with build in shorts aka there is no separate shorts that attach, the bottom is all one piece. I love this and it makes it a lot more comfortable to wear.

At first i worried there was no pockets but these are hidden being in the shorts rather than the skirt.

The dress has a stretchy moveknit fabric. It’s sleeveless design still keeps a traditional collar neckline and floaty skort overly. I’m 5ft 9 and found the 16.5 skirt length to sit at a respectable length.

I wore this dress in a small which was the perfect fitted style, this is my typical size and conforms to the size guide too. I love that this is a very casual piece and I’d happily wear it day to day in the summer months.

PROS

  • Lightweight stretchy fabric
  • Very versatile
  • Good sizing

CONS

  • None

RRP: £130.00

Sizes: 2XS-XXL

TravisMathew Skyloft Light Polo

4 star review
TravisMathew Skyloft Light Polo | Source: NCG
TravisMathew Skyloft Light Polo | Source: NCG

Out of the packaging this polo was soft. Very soft. Its jersey material is a blend of 94% polyester and 6% elastane, so you still get a nice amount of stretch in the fabric. The collar comes down to a deep v-neck opening, which gives a more casual feel.

I wore this in a small which is my typical size. It gave a fitted style and wasn’t overly long on the body – I’m 5ft9 for reference. In terms of comfort, it was very nice on the skin. Its lightweight design made it easy to move and swing in, but I did find it hard to keep tucked in with the length. The skyloft polo has UPF 40+ protection so it’s great for those sunny summer days.

Overall, a solid polo short that could be worn on or off the course – there’s a nice range of colours to choose from too!

PROS

  • Very soft texture
  • UPF 40+ protection
  • Fitted style

CONS

  • Shorter length

RRP: £70.00

Sizes: 2XS-XXL

Colours: White heather black, heather navy blazer, heather soft blue and eather oil green

Summary

As golf clothing continues to be merged and blur the lines between performance and lifestyle, it is clear TravisMathew is at the helm of that shift.

Don’t get me wrong, it all still has that classy feel around it you expect from high-end golf wear, but it’s also versatile enough to be worn and appreciated away from the golf course.

TravisMathew simply once again proves that modern golf wear doesn’t have to choose between style and substance, you can have both.

A bit of a late bloomer to the game of golf, Max fell in love with the sport when he attended Saturday coaching sessions down at his local golf club after being inspired by friends and family members.

Max has remained a member of Eden Golf Club in Carlisle for a number of years now as he looks to get his handicap down into single figures. Most of his golfing career has been spent battling a permanent slice off the tee, which has led to some ugly rounds.

Having studied at the University of Sunderland, Max is starting out his dream career in sports journalism. During his time at university, he picked up valuable work experience at Reach PLC, BBC Radio Cumbria and GiveMeSport, whilst also getting work published in the Teesside Live. He also spent time working at a local weekly newspaper, Eskdale and Liddesdale Advertiser, as a general news reporter partially covering some local sport just north of the border in Langholm.

Max has just started his journey with the NCG working as the assistant equipment editor. He looks forwarded to reviewing the latest golf equipment, taking up an interest in reviews when buying his first golf club, a Cleveland RTX wedge.

With his bag not going under too many changes throughout the last few years, Max carries an M3 driver, Titleist GT3 Fairway Wood, M2 hybrid, a set of M2 irons, Callaway Jaws wedges and a TaylorMade Spider putter. And yes, Max is a bit of a self-proclaimed TaylorMade fan boy.
