The firm rubber sole with rubber cleats acts as a hybrid between spiked and spikeless shoes. The brand even highlighted with an extra pair of laces, that the soles would last much longer than the laces.

G Fore Women’s Perforated Durf golf shoes review: First Impressions

Having never tried G Fore shoes I was excited to see what they had to offer as a higher-end brand. Unboxing them you could tell how good the quality was, not only of the shoes but the box too. The Perforated Durf is in the colour snow and is made from 100% waterproof smooth perforated full grain leather. Aesthetically, these are the ideal pair of white leather casual golf shoes. The plain white pump design is sleek and stylish and would be a great match to any outfit. The all-white upper of the shoe falsely lures you into thinking that the shoe is very plain. The underneath of the shoe vertically reads “fore” on the left shoe and “play” on the right. This cheeky play on words certainly spices the shoe up.

These shoes are a hybrid between spikeless golf shoes and traditionally spiked shoes. The sole of the shoe has a firm rubber base. Attached are hard rubber ‘spikes’ with smaller rubber nubbins filling in the gaps. This is G/Round cleat design technology. The ‘cleat’ is part of the shoe rather than most that are interchangeable. All of this hardwearing rubber and an all-leather upper means that the shoe is fairly weighted.

G Fore Women’s Perforated Durf golf shoes review: On Course Testing

In terms of sizing, I got these in my usual size, UK 7.5. From trying them on it they did seem to come up a little small. I would say half a size bigger would have been perfect. Despite the slight sizing issue, I took these out on the course to see how they performed. I wondered if walking around in them would stretch them out a little but after 6 holes it was clear that they just weren’t the right fit.

Aside from the slightly squashed toes, I found the insole of the shoe to be very comfortable. I had never seen an insole like it. G Fore has created indentations in foam to create small ‘massaging nubs’. Initially, I found that they felt quite strange but I quickly forgot that they were there. As well as being there to provide comfort the gaps between the sole of the footbed and the foot allow better air circulation and in turn better odor control.

The cleats on the soles of the shoes were quite sharp to touch and walking around in the car park they felt very firm. Out on the grass, they were very grippy and provided a great amount of stability from a casual golf shoe.

G Fore also included an extra pair of laces with these shoes, which I thought was great. The note attached to these read how the laces wouldn’t last as long as the soles, showing the great confidence G Fore has in the durability of their product.

Despite the fact they’re all white, the leather was very easy to clean as you can just wipe the dirt straight off. Unfortunately, like most leather golf shoes I did start to see a crease on the front of my right foot from hitting shots.

G Fore Women’s Perforated Durf Golf Shoes review: The 19th hole

Looks wise I certainly wouldn’t be hesitant to wear these off the course however with the rubber cleats on the soles I think they’re better designed to be worn on grass than out on the streets.

As previously mentioned these certainly feel like a high-end pair of shoes and the price tag confirms that. With that said they are of amazing quality and would get you through many rounds.
