NCG SUMMARY

The 2026 Ultispeed from Srixon features an all new Trackline, alignment aid. It’s designed to be Srixon’s distance ball combined with the precision needed on the greens.

Overall, I enjoyed using this ball. I think it ticks all the boxes it sets out and comes with a friendly price tag for the quality of the product.

The only slight issue is that there are question marks over its durability.

PROS

  • Reasonable wedge and greenside spin
  • Strong distance/ball speed with driver
  • Friendly price tag for the quality

First Impressions

Srixon has changed the look of their Ultispeed golf ball for 2026. This years model features an all new Trackline alignment system. From the standard Q Star alignment line, there is now a unique two-stamp layout. This gives a full 360-degree visual benefit.

Srixon Q-Star Ultispeed with Trackline 2026 golf ball review

Srixon has continued to use higher numbers than the standard 1,2,3 you tend to see on most balls.

NCG Review

The Q Star Ultispeed is Srixon’s distance golf ball. It is a three piece, ionomer covered ball that has the same 338 Speed Dimple Pattern seen on other balls.

I tested this ball both on the course and at an indoor studio to gather data. So, starting with 58° trying to hit a 50 yard shot. This doesn’t claim to be a ball with a high amount of wedge spin. It averaged of just short of 6200RPM which I found to be very respectable for a distance golf ball. Launch was reasonably high

Off the face this ball was on the soft to firm side and definitely firmer than the other Srixon balls that I’ve tested this year such as the AD333 and the Q Star Tour.

Moving onto 7 iron, the numbers were pretty solid. The spin wasn’t overly high compared to other balls but the carry distance was solid.

This continued with driver, the speed off the clubface numbers were impressive. A 136mph average ball speed was strong, one of the fastest I’ve seen with my testing so far this year from a non premium golf ball. I was also happy with a 224 yards average carry, seeing one shot go 229 yards was also a real bonus!

It is labelled as being a low spin ball with driver but I didn’t particularly find the during my testing but that didn’t effect it’s strong distance performance.

On the greens, I liked how the ball came off the putter face. The trackline alignment is certainly something that I’m not use to and it did consume quite a lot of the ball. If you’re a player that doesn’t currently use an alignment aid and wants something with ease this could be a great option.

I used this ball out on the course at the weekend and within a few holes (no paths or trees involved), I found there to be damage to the cover of the ball. This was in a few places across the ball, so I had to change ball. This maybe down to the soft thin cover.

NCG Verdict

Overall, I enjoyed using this ball. I think it ticks all the boxes it sets out and comes with a friendly price tag for the quality of the product.
