lupr launched in March 2025 and specialises in quiet luxury, offering a high-quality and modern line of apparel designed for golfers by golfers. The range currently features polos and mid layers.

The name “lupr” pays homage to the term used by those in the know for a caddie: “looper.” Historically, loopers have guided golfers through the storied links of Scotland, Ireland, England, and Wales, sharing their deep knowledge of the game and the nuances of each course. They’re the trusted companions who elevate the golfing experience, much like the apparel envisioned by founders Alex and Kev.

To find out more and see the full range visit the lupr website.

The midlayer. As staple a golf wardrobe piece as there is and one I’m sure we all own. So what makes a good one, why would you need a new one and what is this new brand I keep seeing called lupr? Let’s get into all that….

Straight out of the (extremely beautifully branded) box, the full lupr ¼ zip just felt, well, quality. I know a poor piece of clothing when I see one, but this was definitely high end. All the little details – the logo, the zips etc – all high quality. But it was the fit – tailored you might say – that really caught me off guard. The fit around the arms was bang on – no loose fabric getting in the way. The right length as well – which I am a stickler for. Seems the guys at lupr just really got it right. I was sent the white colourway, but it also comes in Twilight and Azure – fancy.

My playing partners know I am one for non-big-brands when it comes to golf, and they all gave a ‘What’s that top?’ as we got to the first tee. The pattern, which is a repeated all over lupr logo really works well – it makes the top that little bit different, but maintain the classy, traditional look that they obviously want.

This is a premium piece – right up there with the higher end brands you see in pro shops at Top100 clubs – and at a lower price point. I’m all for this.

Would wear. Will wear. Want more.

PROS:

  • 1 premium, quality feel
  • 2 fits extremely well, although for a looser fit, size up
  • 3 good price point considering the quality

CONS:

  • Really can’t fault it!

RRP: £85.00

Sizes: S-2XL

Colours: Twilight / White / Azure

lupr Dusk polo

5 star review
Best lupr Golf Apparel

I was emotional. Rory had won The Masters the night before, and then, in the post, came a lovely box from the guys at lupr. The Dusk Polo in Sunset immediately caught the eye. It was giving Augusta vibes, and I was all for it.

I must have had 100s of golf polos, so I have seen the good and the bad – this was firmly in the former. It felt premium, the collar, button detailing, cuffs – all very high end. If I had to guess, I would say this was in the £100 polo range, so pleased to see it far less than that.

I love the detailing on the back panel. There is a subtlety to all of the lupr range. It’s not brash or loud – it’s a quiet luxury and I’m a big fan.

One thing I would say is that the fit is slightly tailored, so if you prefer a loose fit, order one size up and you’ll be fine. I gave this polo to my friend and let him try (he’s in the pictures) and he agreed with everything I have said. The fabric is really top notch and there is no restriction at all when swinging the club. It was a warm day and the lightweight, moisture wicking fabric certainly did it’s job.

Would highly recommend this polo – a perfect additional to the summer golf wardrobe. Oh and it also comes in Viridian and Twilight colourways.

PROS:

  • Premium, quality feel
  • Fits extremely well, although for a looser fit, size up
  • Good price point considering the quality

CONS:

  • None

RRP: £70.00 although they offer 10% off first orders

Sizes: S-2XL

Colours: Twilight / Viridian / Sunset

  • £70 – 10% off with 1st order

lupr Jacquard 1/4 zip mid layer

5 star review

I’ll start this by saying I am ALWAYS cold. My playing partners always make fun of me for it, because I’m usually always in a sweater/midlayer. We did this round of apparel testing in April and the Jacquard ¼ zip mid layer, with it’s slightly heavier fabric, really did the job on a somewhat cool day.

Out of the box, I could instantly feel this being a piece that will easily go into my wardrobe. Perfect for spring/autumn, or on a slightly cooler summer evening round, this midlayer offers the perfect balance of comfort, warmth, and style. lupr call it a ‘sophisticated jacquard pattern’ – hard to disagree. The fabric has a texture that adds to the visual appeal of the mid layer and I was also struck by the side panels – they definitely made me look a little more streamlined (bonus), but aided the movement while swinging the club. There was no restriction or loose fabric of any sort. Felt like something a Tour player would be very comfortable wearing.

I sound very picky here, but hopefully you know what I mean: Some mid layers are too long. The ‘scrunched up fabric’ at the bottom just looks weird. Well, not here! This is the perfect length in body and arms.

If you like premium, high end golf clothing, at a lower price point, then lupr is certainly worth checking out. The quiet luxury to their garments will help ‘carry your golf game’ as their strapline says.

Best lupr golf apparel, premium polos and mid layers at a lower price point. There is no doubt the lupr offering is top quality. It is aimed at the golfer who is looking for this quality, but when compared with other like for like premium brands, comes in at a slightly lower price point.

If you are looking for a premium polo or mid layer, be it for yourself or a present, then lupr is definitely a brand to consider.
