Refresh your golf wardrobe with the latest spring and summer apparel from J.Lindeberg. Check out our favourite bits
Few things beat a sunny day on the golf course, but failing to equip yourself properly for the weather can put a damper on things.
Staying comfortable and cool over four or five hours can make a real difference. From where I’m sitting at least, I think breathable apparel just as important as having the right clubs in your bag.
Fortunately, today’s golf apparel is crafted with performance in mind. None do it much better than J.Lindeberg.
Known for their contemporary styling, you’ll find plenty of options that will look just as good to and at home on the course as they do around the clubhouse and down the high street.
We’ve picked out some of the highlights, including standout polos, trousers and gloves that deserve a place in your golf wardrobe this summer.
National Club Golfer gave me the opportunity to test out the latest range from J. Lindeberg. I expected high standards from a brand founded by renowned fashion designer Johan Lindeberg, and I wasn’t disappointed. Although the company only entered the golf apparel market in the late 1990s, it has quickly established itself as a premium brand, combining stylish designs with exceptional quality.
I tested the KV Print Polo Shirt and was immediately impressed by its modern design, particularly the embroidered logo on the collar and the distinctive Bridge logo across the back. More importantly, it was incredibly comfortable to wear. The performance stretch fabric provided excellent freedom of movement, while the moisture-wicking material kept me feeling cool and dry throughout my round.
I wore the polo on a particularly hot day, making it the perfect test of its performance. It coped exceptionally well in the heat, with the lightweight, fast-drying fabric remaining comfortable from the first tee to the final green. It never felt heavy or restrictive, and by the end of the round I knew it would become one of my go-to polo shirts on the course.

PROS
Excellent moisture-wicking performance
Great freedom of movement during the swing
Premium quality finish and modern design
CONS
Premium price compared to other golf polos
Bold design may not suit golfers who prefer a more classic look
Having already owned a few J. Lindeberg pieces, it was great to have the opportunity to test a wider selection of the range for National Club Golfer. Up until now, I’d only worn their polo shirts, so getting to try their latest golf trousers was a real treat.
I tested the Vent Golf Trousers in cream, in a regular fit. As someone who wears a 32/32, I found the sizing to be spot on. Although they’re described as a regular fit, they do have quite a slim, modern cut, which I really liked.
The trousers were exceptionally comfortable and incredibly lightweight. I wore them during a round on a particularly hot day, when I would normally choose to wear golf shorts. However, thanks to the lightweight, breathable fabric, I never felt too warm and was impressed with how comfortable they remained throughout the round.
Made from a stretch, fast-drying, high-ventilation fabric, the Vent Golf Trousers offer excellent freedom of movement and breathability. They performed brilliantly in the heat but would also be an excellent choice for cooler summer days or mild autumn rounds.
From a styling perspective, they look fantastic. The clean, sharp design gives them a premium feel, while the understated Bridge logo above the back pocket adds a subtle touch of J. Lindeberg branding without being over the top.
If you’re looking for a premium pair of golf trousers that combine comfort, performance and style, I’d have no hesitation in recommending the J. Lindeberg Vent Golf Trousers.
PROS
Extremely comfortable
Lightweight and breathable
Stylish, modern fit
CONS
Regular fit comes up quite slim, so some golfers may prefer to size up

J. Lindeberg is widely recognised as a premium golf apparel brand, and after testing its latest Tour Tech Print Golf Polo Shirt in the Bridge Stack Brindle design, it’s easy to see why.
At first glance, it’s certainly not for the faint-hearted, with its bold all-over print. That said, I’d say this is one of the more understated designs in the range. As someone who usually opts for plain polos in more subtle, pastel colours, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked both the design and the colourway.
The polo features the signature Bridge logo on the collar and J. Lindeberg branding down the left sleeve, giving it a modern, premium look without feeling over the top. I tested the regular fit and found it suited me really well. Although it’s described as a regular fit, I’d say it has a more tailored feel. It wasn’t too tight, but equally it wasn’t loose around the waist, giving it a flattering fit.
Performance-wise, it impressed throughout. The moisture-wicking, four-way stretch fabric offered excellent freedom of movement, while the quick-drying material kept me comfortable throughout the round. The fabric also felt incredibly soft against the skin, adding to the overall premium feel.
There’s no denying that J. Lindeberg sits at the higher end of the price scale, but the quality of the materials, fit and finish make it feel like money well spent.
I genuinely loved wearing this polo, and it may even have persuaded me to step outside my comfort zone and wear something a little more adventurous on the golf course in future!
PROS
Premium fit and feel
Soft, four-way stretch fabric
Modern design with excellent on-course performance
I’d never tried a J. Lindeberg golf glove before, as I normally stick to some of the more established brands, so I was keen to see how it compared. First impressions were excellent. The glove has a clean, premium look, featuring the J. Lindeberg logo on the front and the brand name across the back, giving it a stylish finish.
Made from 98% Goat Nappa leather and 2% polyurethane, it uses high-quality AAA Cabretta leather, which gives it an incredibly soft, premium feel straight out of the packaging. You can immediately tell it’s made from genuine leather.
I normally wear a medium glove, and the medium fitted me perfectly. Initially, the Velcro fastening only reached about halfway across, but that’s fairly typical with premium leather gloves, as they naturally stretch and mould to your hand over time. Having only played two rounds in it, I was actually pleased that it still felt snug.
The only minor issue I found was the care labels inside the glove, which were a little noticeable at first. However, once I removed them, the glove was much more comfortable and I had no further problems.
Performance-wise, I couldn’t fault it. The grip, feel and comfort were excellent throughout both rounds, and I’d put it right up there with the best golf gloves on the market. In my opinion, it even has the edge when it comes to style, making it a premium glove that’s as good to look at as it is to play in.
PROS
Exceptionally soft premium leather
Excellent fit and grip
Stylish, high-quality finish
CONS
Care labels inside the glove can be noticeable until removed
J.Lindeberg Elof Sole hoodie | Source: NCG & Jasmine Levison
I have to admit, I’ve never really been a fan of hoodies on the golf course. However, after having the opportunity to test the J. Lindeberg Sole Hoodie, I may well have changed my mind.

Like everything else I’ve tried from J. Lindeberg, the Sole Hoodie has a genuine premium feel. The quality is obvious as soon as you put it on. It’s incredibly soft, lightweight and surprisingly warm, making it ideal for those cooler mornings and evenings on the course.
The fit was another standout feature. Although it’s described as a regular fit, I’d say it’s more of a tailored fit. As someone with a slim build, I found it fitted perfectly, not too loose and not too tight. Just as importantly, it didn’t restrict my swing in any way, allowing complete freedom of movement throughout the round.
The fabric feels exceptionally soft against the skin and, despite being lightweight, provides excellent warmth without feeling bulky. I also really liked the simple, understated design. I tested the beige colourway, which looked smart both on and off the course, although it’s also available in four other colours to suit different tastes.
One feature I particularly appreciated was the quarter-zip neck. It makes it easy to regulate your temperature during a round, zip it up on cooler mornings or evenings, then open it up as the day warms up for extra ventilation.
Overall, the J. Lindeberg Sole Hoodie has completely changed my opinion of wearing hoodies on the golf course. It looks great, feels premium, performs exceptionally well and is comfortable enough to wear all day. I’d have no hesitation in recommending it to any golfer looking for a stylish, high-quality layering piece.
PROS
Soft, lightweight and warm
Excellent fit with unrestricted movement
Stylish design that’s suitable on and off the course
CONS
Tailored fit may not suit golfers who prefer a looser style
Having been around for nearly 30 years, J. Lindeberg has firmly established itself as a premium golf apparel brand, with a premium price tag to match. After having the opportunity to test the brand’s full summer range, it’s easy to understand why. Every item I’ve tried has impressed me, and the Men’s Elof Stretch Golf Trousers were no exception.
These trousers fitted me exceptionally well. As someone with a slim build, I found the fit to be spot on, with a modern, tapered leg that created a smart silhouette without feeling restrictive. They were lightweight yet still offered enough warmth to make them suitable for a wide range of conditions.
Living in the UK, you never quite know what the weather is going to do, even in the middle of summer, so versatility is important. The Elof Stretch Golf Trousers are made from a breathable, water-repellent fabric, making them well suited to changing conditions. I wore them on a hot, sunny day and can certainly vouch for their breathability, as they kept me cool and comfortable throughout the round. While I didn’t get the chance to test the water-repellent finish, the lightweight technical fabric feels like it would dry very quickly if caught in a passing shower.
I also loved the design and colour. My pair came in a green, which paired perfectly with the Men’s Tour Tech Print Polo Shirt to create a smart, coordinated outfit. One thing I’ve really noticed while testing the J. Lindeberg range is how well all the pieces work together, making it easy to put together a stylish look for the course.
Overall, the Men’s Elof Stretch Golf Trousers continue the high standards I’ve come to expect from J. Lindeberg. They combine premium quality, excellent comfort, modern styling and impressive performance, making them an easy recommendation for golfers looking to invest in high-quality apparel that performs as well as it looks.
PROS
Excellent modern fit
Breathable and lightweight fabric
Stylish design that pairs well with the rest of the range
J.Lindeberg rarely disappoints when it comes to stylish golf clothing and this dress is no exception. I was sent a size Medium to review and, as a size 12, I would definitely have been better in a Large. It was a little too snug for me, but I still wanted to review it because I genuinely love the design.
What immediately caught my eye was the striped collar and the beautiful pleated skirt detail. It gives the dress a much more fashionable look than many traditional golf dresses and creates a really flattering shape. I tend to avoid golf dresses as they often hang quite straight on me, but this design is much more feminine and gives definition around the waist.
It’s packed with practical features too. There’s a discreet zipped pocket at the back for valuables, while the integrated shorts have handy pockets that are perfect for tees, a ball marker or your phone.
The fabric is lightweight, comfortable and allows plenty of freedom of movement throughout the swing. In the correct size, I know this would become one of my favourite outfits to wear on the course.
As always with J.Lindeberg, the styling feels modern, premium and effortlessly cool. In fact, my daughter has already tried to claim it for herself, which probably tells you everything you need to know!
PROS
Stylish pleated design creates a much more flattering shape than a traditional golf dress.
Great practical features, including zipped rear pocket and integrated shorts with pockets.
Premium, fashionable styling that looks just as good off the course.
CONS
I found it came up a little small. As a size 12, I would recommend sizing up from a Medium to a Large.
The Marlie Polo is proof that a white golf polo doesn’t have to be boring.
At first glance it looks beautifully simply, but on closer inspection the subtle textured pattern running through the fabric gives it a premium look and feel.
The fit is incredibly flattering without being too tight, and the lightweight, stretchy material kept me cool and comfortable throughout a warm day on the course. I particularly liked the structured collar, which held its shape all day and gave the polo a smart finish.
The understated J.Lindeberg branding adds to the premium feel without dominating the design. Worn on its own it looks effortlessly stylish but paired with the Amy Skort the matching scalloped detailing creates a polished outfit that attracted plenty of compliments.
It’s one of those versatile pieces that will work with almost any skort or trousers in your golfing wardrobe, making it a real staple for the season. I love that it’s designed to not be tucked in, it sits perfectly on top of a skort.
PROS
Elegant textured design that stands out from a standard white polo
Lightweight, breathable fabric that’s ideal for warm weather
The Amy Skort is one of those pieces you instantly know you’ll keep reaching for. The Moonbeam colour is absolutely gorgeous; fresh, modern and perfect for a sunny day on the course. The lightweight fabric has plenty of stretch, making it incredibly comfortable, even in ridiculously warm weather.
The integrated shorts are soft, stay securely in place and include a handy pocket that’s genuinely useful for tees, ball markers or your phone. There’s also a secure zipped pocket at the back for valuables. I loved the understated J.Lindeberg branding, which gives the skort the premium feel you’d expect from the brand without being over the top.
A lovely design feature is the subtle scalloped edging at the sides, which adds a little more interest than a traditional straight hem. If you pair it with the Marlie Polo, the scalloped detail continues across both pieces for a really polished look. It’s also slightly longer at the back than the front, giving you the confidence to bend over and play your shots without worrying about the skort riding up.
At £65, I think it represents incredible value for the level of quality, comfort and style on offer. I received several compliments on both the fit and colour while wearing it.
PROS
Really flattering fit.
Lightweight, stretchy fabric that’s comfortable throughout the round.
Practical integrated shorts with useful storage pocket.
Today’s golf clothing is expected to do more than just perform out on the course. Most golfers look for something versatile and casual, which is why hoodies have become so popular, so that they can wear in it any social setting.
A bit of a late bloomer to the game of golf, Max fell in love with the sport when he attended Saturday coaching sessions down at his local golf club after being inspired by friends and family members.
Max has remained a member of Eden Golf Club in Carlisle for a number of years now as he looks to get his handicap down into single figures. Most of his golfing career has been spent battling a permanent slice off the tee, which has led to some ugly rounds.
Having studied at the University of Sunderland, Max is starting out his dream career in sports journalism. During his time at university, he picked up valuable work experience at Reach PLC, BBC Radio Cumbria and GiveMeSport, whilst also getting work published in the Teesside Live. He also spent time working at a local weekly newspaper, Eskdale and Liddesdale Advertiser, as a general news reporter partially covering some local sport just north of the border in Langholm.
Max has just started his journey with the NCG working as the assistant equipment editor. He looks forwarded to reviewing the latest golf equipment, taking up an interest in reviews when buying his first golf club, a Cleveland RTX wedge.
With his bag not going under too many changes throughout the last few years, Max carries an M3 driver, Titleist GT3 Fairway Wood, M2 hybrid, a set of M2 irons, Callaway Jaws wedges and a TaylorMade Spider putter. And yes, Max is a bit of a self-proclaimed TaylorMade fan boy.
