Following yet another week of speculation and controversy in the life of Phil Mickelson, the six-time major winner has now been spotted back out on the golf course as he eyes up a potential return to the professional circuit.
In a video posted on Twitter, Mickelson was seen ripping a drive at his home club, Rancho Santa Fe, in California.
This was the first time Mickelson has been spotted out on the course in months, with the lefty taking a hiatus away from the game following his controversial comments surrounding the PGA Tour.
The sighting also comes just days after Mickelson’s agent revealed that his client has signed an agreement of intent to play in the season opener of the LIV Golf Invitational in June, for which he is reported to be getting paid upwards of $30 million to take part.
With Mickelson clearly itching to get back into competition, the question remains as to just where he will be playing come June, with the reigning PGA champion also entered in the field to defend his title at Southern Hills.
