Say hello to Scotty Cameron’s Champions Choice putters – a classic look with a modern twist
Want to get your hands on a major-winning putter? Scotty Cameron has the answer as he unveils three new models with tour-proven shaping.
Scotty Cameron Champions Choice: The line-up
The Scotty Cameron Champions Choice Newport Button Back pays homage to the spirit of the original design – but with a number of refinements, including silver misted stainless steel finish, flat topline, performance balanced tungsten weights, and a Teryllium insert.
The Scotty Cameron Champions Choice Newport 2 Button Back was inspired by the putter Brooks Koepka used to win back-to-back US Opens in 2017 and 2018.
The refinements here include a slightly different shaping with a narrower topline as well as getting a softer feel from the Teryllium alloy inlay. There are also customisable sole weights.
Finally the Scotty Cameron Champions Choice Flowback 5.5 Button Back has a more classic rounded profile. The slant-back neck is inspired by numerous custom models Scotty has made for tour players across the globe. It is uniquely designed and angled back toward the heel for more toe flow.
Scotty Cameron Champions Choice: The technology
The putters are made with a precision-milled 303 stainless steel body and feature the very popular Teryllium face insert.
The Flowback 5.5 also incorporates a 6061 aircraft aluminium sole plate to reposition weight to the perimeter of the putter head for more stability and forgiveness.
The original button backs have seen an update to help with vibration dampening. There is also additional high-tech vibration dampening material placed between the face insert and the putter head.
Each head features heel-toe weighting with two tungsten or stainless steel weights and a stepless steel shaft.
