This week’s golf features the second senior major of the year, along with action on the PGA Tour, LET and DP World Tour, but who are our betting tips?

The KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship is the second of five majors in the senior calendar for 2024, with Steve Stricker aiming to defend his title.

The PGA Tour circus moves back to Texas for the Charles Schwab Challenge, which takes place, as always, at Colonial Country Club.

Who will win these tournaments? Matt Coles takes a look at this week’s action…

KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship golf betting tips and preview

Venue: The Golf Club at Harbor Shores, Benton Harbor, Michigan, United States
Date: May 23-26, 2024
Course stats: Par 71, 6,852 yards
Defending champion: Steve Stricker (-18)

Padraig Harrington @ 10/1 with bet365

Irishman Padraig Harrington hasn’t finished outside the top 20 in any of his last five appearances on the PGA Champions Tour. He was victorious at the Hoag Classic earlier this year, and he also has seven top-ten finishes in just nine senior major appearances – including a victory at the 2022 US Senior Open. At 10/1, my money is on Harrington taking a second senior major come Sunday.

Paul Broadhurst @ 30/1 with bet365

The winner of the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship in 2018 when the event was held at this year’s venue, Harbor Shores, Paul Broadhurst will surely be in the hunt again this week. He has six top-25 finishes so far in 2024, including a victory at the Invited Celebrity Classic. At 30/1, the Englishman is worth your money this week.

Defending champion and seven-time senior major winner Steve Stricker is the favourite at 9/2.

Venue: Colonial Country Club, Fort Worth, Texas, United States
Date: May 23-26, 2024
Course stats: Par 70, 7,209 yards
Defending champion: Emiliano Grillo (-8)

Jordan Spieth @ 22/1 with bet365

Jordan Spieth WITB 2024

Although he was unable to complete the career Grand Slam at last week’s PGA Championship, Jordan Spieth did show glimpses of his best self. The three-time major champion also has a good record at this event, finishing in the top ten in four straight years from 2019 to 2022. Those results included a runners-up finish in 2021, and this could be the week where Spieth goes one better. 22/1 says he does!

Billy Horschel @ 50/1 with bet365

With a win at the Corales Puntacana Championship earlier this year and a top-ten finish at the PGA Championship on Sunday, Billy Horschel is back to his best. The American is currently 50/1 to take a second win of the PGA Tour season, but with the form he is in, don’t count him out…

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Scottie Scheffler is the favourite to win the Charles Schwab Challenge, currently at 11/4.

What else is going on in the world of golf this week?

There is plenty of other action going on this week.

The DP World Tour returns after a three week break (not including the PGA Championship). The Soudal Open will be played in Belgium. Meanwhile, the Jabra Ladies Open takes place on the Ladies European Tour, played at the world famous Evian Resort.

Who will take victory at these tournaments? Check out our picks for success below…

Richard Mansell @ 35/1 the Soudal Open with bet365

Bombs away! Who are the best drivers on tour?

England’s Richard Mansell was one of nine men to be successful at Walton Heath on Monday in the US Open Qualifying event. A quick flight over to Belgium and the Englishman can bring that form with him. At 35/1, he isn’t one of the favourites, but he should be up there come Sunday evening.

Gabriella Cowley @ 20/1 to win the Jabra Ladies Open with bet365

At 20/1, Gabs Cowley is among the favourites for victory this week at the Jabra Ladies Open, and the Englishwoman comes into the tournament off the back of a good run. She has four top-20 finishes in her last seven LET events, including a 3rd place finish at last week’s Amundi German Masters. Could this be the way that Cowley grabs her first LET victory?
