Best Stromberg Golf Winter Apparel

Stromberg Men’s Weather Tech Waterproof

4.5 star review
best stromberg winter apparel

RRP £79.99

The Stromberg Men’s Weather Tech waterproof jacket was a joy to wear. I tested the dark blue version which I really like the look of. A really clean aesthetic with some tidily placed Stromberg branding that sits parallel to the zip. Usefully, the jacket comes equipped with two front pockets which have zips so you can easily store your valubles. Playing in the jacket was really easy, no restriction on my swing and was incredibly lightweight. It was really easy to slide on and off in time for the start and end of an unexpected shower and due to the lighweight and flexibility it helped when packing the jacket away into my bag. It rolls up really easily and fits into your medium size pocket of your bag with no issues.

Overall I really like Stromberg’s latest tech waterproof, looks really smart, pacticial for all year around and a good price point for golf apparel.

PROS:

  • Really good fit
  • Smart
  • Good pocket space
  • Great price point

CONS:

  • Fitting is slightly on the large side

Sizes: 30’’- 46’’ waist

Colours: Black / Navy / Grey

Stromberg Men’s Weather Tech Stretch

4.5 star review
best stromberg winter apparel

RRP £85 | NOW £59.99

The Stromberg tech trousers are definitely going to be a staple of my winter golf wardrobe. They fit nicely and look really smart in and around the course. There was ample pocket space for the excess tees and balls which is always a positive for myself. The trousers are built with 3 ply performance fabric which works great for comfort, mobility and performance.

We did experience some rain when testing which is always useful when testing the wet weather apparel(!) and I am pleased to say the trousers performed as expected.

The waterproof membrane built into the layers of the trousers kept me nice and dry for the remainder of the round. They did fit slightly on the large side for myself, so I did require a belt, but otherwise they were ideal. I like the design of the trousers, really clean with subtle branding of Stromberg across the back pocket and on the inseam of the waist band.

PROS:

  • Really good fit
  • Smart
  • Good pocket space
  • Great price point

CONS:

  • Fitting is slightly on the large side

Sizes: 30’’- 46’’ waist

Colours: Black / Navy / Grey

Stromberg Ladies Carly Half Zip Mid-layer

4 star review
best stromberg winter apparel

RRP £39.99 | NOW £19.99

This is a really comfortable mid layer which is really easy to pull on and off during a round of golf. I really like the material which includes a performance stretch construction for maximum mobility during the golf swing.

The front panel has an eye-catching design which is abit different and stands out on the golf course. I tested this in the black and peach colourway but there is also a blue option.

One think to note is this doesn’t feature any pockets in the body so you will need somewhere else to store your tee pegs.

I generally wear a UK size 8/10 in tops. This is a size eight and fits well, there is definitely enough room for swinging, and it feels very comfortable. I would say if in doubt you can size down in this as there is definitely plenty of room in the body.

PROS:

  • Attractive design
  • Great for layering
  • Great value for money

CONS:

  • Not the thickest item on its own

Colours: Black/Blue or Black/Peach

Sizes: UK 8-16

Stromberg Men’s Tour Classic Waterproof Spiked Golf Shoes

5 star review

RRP £89.99

The more shoes I try the more I realise you cannot judge a book by its cover. The Stromberg Tour Classic golf shoe is definitely in classic shoe design territory. In the past I equated this with good looks and sturdiness but usually a compromise on comfort. It is fair to say that this is a terrific looking golf shoe. It has an overall classic look but with the moisture-wicking mesh areas contrasting with the rest of the shoe it has a modern appearance.

The upper is made from a high performance micro-fibre leather upper. It also has a moisture-wicking mesh lining that helps to wick away moisture to keep your feet dry. Impressively they come with a one year waterproof guarantee.

High tech, classic looks, waterproof, great grip, what’s not to like? These are supremely comfortable, not just for the type of shoe they are but compared to all golf shoes. I could not find them on the Stromberg website for some reason but they were on sale for £89.99 which I think represents amazing value.

PROS

  • Classic looks
  • Extreme comfort
  • Waterproof
  • Excellent support and grip

CONS

  • None

Colours:  White, Black/Grey

Sizes: UK 7-11

Stromberg Ladies Ciganda Waterproof Jacket

5 star review
best stromberg winter apparel

RRP £79.99 | NOW £39.99

I really like the overall styling of this, it is very sporty and is a versatile design that could be used for a variety of sports.

The front features two zipped pockets which are great for storing tees and ball markers. There is also an internal valuables pocket so you can keep any valuable items dry and safe.

So far, I have found this very waterproof in both light and heavy rain and that the taped zips also keep water out. This also features a hood which is detachable so you can choose whether you want to use it or not. I have found this very useful in heavy rain especially when walking between shots.

I generally wear a UK size 8/10 top; this is a size 8 and fits comfortably and is still easy to swing in. It also has adjustable toggles on the bottom of the jacket and on the wrist hems so you can adjust the sizing to suit your preferences.

PROS:

  • Very versatile design
  • Hood included
  • Valuables pocket

CONS:

  • None

Colours: Black/Peach or Grey/Peach

Sizes: UK 8-16

Stromberg Ladies Carlota Waterproof Golf Trousers

4.5 star review
best stromberg winter apparel

RRP £59.99 | NOW £

These Stromberg Carlota trousers are an excellent pair of affordable waterproof trousers. The plain black design includes a silver Stromberg logo at both the front and back. There are two front pockets and a back all water-resistant zips & fully taped seams.

My usual trousers size is a uk 10 however these were a uk 8 and I still managed to get in them. There aren’t any belt loops but Stromberg has added in a velcro panel on either hip so that you can alter the fit if desired. On the bottom of the leg is a zip to help with getting them on and off but unlike some waterproofs you can’t tightened the ankle.

I’m 5ft 8 meaning that and these trousers only come in one length. They were slightly on the shorter side but not to the point where they were unwearable.

In terms of being waterproof, yes, they are. Stromberg lists these as being waterproof up to 10000mm which isn’t overly high but on a moderately rainy day these will happily keep you dry.

PROS:

  • Affordable
  • Looks smart
  • Water resistant zipped pockets

CONS:

  • None

Colours: Black

Sizes: UK 8-16

Stromberg Ladies Pom Golf Beanie Golf Hat

4.5 star review
best stromberg winter apparel

RRP £14.99 | NOW £4.99

A beanie is a make or break item when it comes to staying warm on the golf course in winter.

I really like the multi-coloured element of this design and the different textures and detailing. It is nice to see a pop of colour and something a bit brighter for the winter months ahead.

Probably what is most important is how much warmth this provides. The whole hat has a knitted construction and is extremely thick to keep you as warm as possible. It is also very soft and comfortable to wear against the skin.

PROS:

  • Very warm interior
  • Stand out colourway
  • Fleece lining is very comfortable

CONS:

  • Slightly on the large side

Sizes: One size

Colours: Black/Navy/Purple, Black/Coral, Black/Blue
