The best of the best! We roundup the best golf shoes for men in 2026
Finding the right pair of golf shoes isn’t just about completing your look, it is also about unlocking better stability, comfort, and confidence from the first tee to the final putt. All golfers will agree that comfort is king when it comes to golf shoes.
We’ve worn them in the sun, in the rain, in the sleet, on our home courses, on away courses, in the fairway, in the sand, in the rough, and sadly even in the heather to be able to create honest reviews you the club golfer can actually trust.
Whether you favour classic leather spiked models or modern athletic designs, our top picks for 2026 will help you step onto the course with purpose and in style…
I find that there really is only one place to start with golf shoes like these and that’s with their looks. Yes, not everyone will like them but then again no everyone likes pineapple on pizza!
For my money, these are the ideal looking golf shoes. Not overly casual that they look like gym shoes but still don’t venture into the stiffness I think a lot of traditionally styled alternatives fall into the trap of being.
Elsewhere, I was extremely impressed by the comfort. There’s no let-up at any point during the round in this regard. The good news is for summer; no issues with the heat either.
PROS
Comfortable
Stylish
Versatile
CONS
They look so good you won’t want to get them dirty!

Under Armour Drive Pro Clone Golf Shoe | Source: NCG
The Under Armour Drive Pro Clone is a genuinely innovative golf shoe that delivers outstanding comfort, stability and traction. Its auxetic upper (thicker when stretched and thinner when compressed) adapts to the shape of your foot during play before returning to its original form, offering a near custom-fit feel straight out of the box.
Combined with excellent grip in wet conditions and a noticeably improved aesthetic, this is one of the most impressive performance golf shoes currently available.
PROS
Phenomenal grip
Extremely stable throughout the golf swing
No break-in period needed
CONS
Sporty design won’t appeal to traditionalists

G/Fore have produced a stylish and relaxed-looking shoe. It is versatile, comfortable and performs superbly. I have tested GFORE shoes before and this is one of my favourites for sure.
In use the support was very good. My foot felt it was deep into the shoe with plenty of support and traction throughout the swing. Some of the more casual designs can be a little wanting in this regard but not so the G.112. The grip was also excellent and I was testing them on wet grass.
Fit: True to Size/Small/Large/Wide/Narrow Style: Athletic/Traditional/Off Course Friendly/All Weather/Casual Out of Box Comfort: 9/10 Stability: 9/10 Value for Money: 9/10
The Ecco Biom C5s are light and stylish – but they are also serious shoes that are built to last. The more you wear them the more they mould to the shape of your foot. A joy to wear.
If you are going to play a lot of golf this year in a range of conditions then investing in a pair of Ecco Biom C5s will prove to be a smart decision. You are going to find that they will serve you exceptionally well over a long period of time.
PROS
Instant comfort combined with genuine durability
These Ecco shoes are exceptionally well constructed – a premium product
CONS
They are a significant investment – but for us they will repay you in performance and longevity
On those uneven lies, including fairway bunkers, the Pro/SL 2026 offers secure stability and traction, with no hint of slipping.
The Pro/SL is also easy to care for; a simple wipe clean with a damp cloth keeps your shoes looking pristine.
So, the re-imagined Pro/SL for 2026 from FootJoy delivers yet again, offering first-class comfort, traction and stability. If you are in the market for new footwear this season, you really should take a look at the Pro/SL.
First thing I’d say is that this is a release that I think is going to land in the sweetspot for a lot of club golfers. At a time when a lot of premium golf shoes offerings are costing well in excess of £150, this is a welcomed alternative.
Visually, it offers the best of both worlds. It gives of a slight retro look whilst also maintaining that trainer-like feel that doesn’t mean your dragging around a clunky set of boots on your feet.
I have plenty of confidence that this is going to serve well this summer, no matter the conditions – hopefully they won’t be too extreme.
PROS
Trainer-like comfort
A retro look that still has that sporty element to it
The S2G 26 might be a ‘budget’ golf shoe but the only thing economical about them is the price. Comfortable, great looking, and an option on and off course, they’re a sure-fire winner in a market that doesn’t always prioritise value. They’re the best shoe of their type.
In this cost-of-living climate we’re all trying to get more bang for our buck. You’re absolutely getting that with the Adidas S2G 26 golf shoes. At £85 / $100 for the textile model, and £5 more for the leather version, they are a very premium golf shoe at a big discount on others out there.
PROS
Very comfortable fit
Premium build
Casual look means they’re as wearable off course as on it
Under Armour Halo Tour spikeless golf shoes | Source: NCG
These are comfy pair of modern golf shoes. Under Armour are one of the biggest sportswear brands in the world and with partial thanks to their partnership with Jordan Speith, their prominence in golf has grown over the years.

Rarely do they produce something sub-par that this is definitely not the case here. They deliver tour-level stability and comfort in a stylish silhouette.
PROS
Modern trainer-like styling
Extremely comfortable
Designed for tour players, so they should hold up for a monthly medal
CONS
Design might not be for everyone

The MC70 spiked golf shoe from Adidas combines a traditional look with style. The design is inspired by the iconic 1970s Adidas aesthetic. The leather upper helps with the timeless look whilst also being very practical.
The rubber spiked outsole gave lots of grip walking around the golf course even on the muddier areas. They’re not a shoe packed with foam but the Boost midsole does a great job at providing both comfort and support.
PROS
Sturdy
Comfortable
Stylish
CONS
Size up on your standard

Matt Fitzpatrick Skechers shoes 2026 | Source: NCG
This is clearly a premium shoe – packed with technology with very impressive looks and performance. A very stable platform with a comfortable feel.
This is comfort-focused shoe with excellent convenience! The previous tour shoe was the Blade GF shoe – It’s synthetic uppers received negative feedback because it looked and felt quite ‘plasticky’ – the 2026 shoe has a synthetic leather upper which addresses this and also improves the comfort of the product.
PROS
Great design
Improved on the previous model
Helps with stability and support
Hands free slip in
CONS
If anything a lack of added inclusions for the price – for example a shoe bag

This is an extremely comfortable and good looking golf shoe, from a brand which will be a godsend particularly for those with awkward feet. It is also very well priced.
Due to the sole design I think this is certainly a shoe that can easily be worn on and off the course, soI can see it appealing to a broad range of golfer. The SpeedEx V1 is good looking, comfortable and performs pretty well. And I expect the wide toe box to be a game changer for those golfers that have painful foot conditions.

Puma Helsinki Golf Shoes
The Puma Helsinki Golf Shoe offers a stylish, trainer-inspired look that appeals to those seeking versatility and modernity. Designed mainly for summer, they feature lightweight, breathable materials, and a comfortable fit – even for my wider feet.
The grip and stability are suitable on various terrains, making them ideal on and off course everyday wear.
While they might not be a go to pair for muddy wet winters, they excel in warm weather. The casual design may not suit traditionalists, but for those wanting a relaxed, sporty look, these shoes provide comfort, style, and practicality.
Pros:
Very comfortable
Versatile – can easily be worn on and off the golf course
Great summer option – no issues with grip and support
Cons:
Not an all the year round golf shoe
Looks not for everyone

The nicest pair of FootJoy Premiere Series that I have ever owned. This was love at first sight – the old-school classic look, but packed with tech.
They were also extremely comfortable, straight away. No break-in period required. The fit is ever so slightly on the larger size, so you could jump down half a size for a more snug fit.
I have since played three full rounds wearing the Field LX – one of which was in damper conditions – and my feet remained dry, as you’d expect from a premium leather waterproof shoe.
I think you can tell my feelings on the Footjoy Premiere Field LX: love, love, love.
PROS
Premium waterproof leather
Classical ‘Tour’ look
Unbeatable traction while playing shots
Now in the end of season sale!
CONS
Come on….. there are none!

The Puma IGNITE ELEVATE 2 Tour golf shoe delivers an outstanding blend of style, comfort, and performance. Comfort levels are high throughout the round thanks to Puma’s responsive IGNITE foam midsole. On the course, the soft spikes provide tour-grade traction and a strong feeling of stability on all terrain.
Styling is a major highlight, with the shoe offering a clean, sporty look that feels modern yet smart. Add in the waterproof EXOSHELL upper, which promises protection without sacrificing breathability, and you’ve got everything a golfer could need from a pair of golf shoes.
The Ecco M Golf Street 720 shoes are a premium product – and you can tell us much from the moment you slip them on to your feet. If you haven’t worn a pair of Ecco Golf Street before then you might be expecting shoe that is aimed at summer play.
That just isn’t the case – even though they are very light, you can wear these shoes all year round and they will give your feet the support you need. They are also fully waterproof and feature a GoreTex lining. There is more to the Ecco M Golf Street 720 than immediately meets the eye.
PROS
Reliable comfort
The ease of movement that you only really get from a trainer
The versatility of a show you can just as easily wear off the course
CONS
Only the price tag (but not at American Golf – see below)

This is a glorious golf shoe. It has premium looks, is extremely comfortable and offers tremendous performance. It comes highly recommended.
The combination of good looks, exceptional comfort premium construction and first rate performance means that these shoes get a well-merited 5 star review and although the RRP of £200/$220 is certainly top end, I feel that it is justified.
So, plaudits to Jason Day and the team at Payntr, for this collaboration.
It’s hard not to be tempted by a set of shoes advertised as “Hands free slip-ins” so I wasn’t quite expecting such a classic traditional looking golf shoe when I opened the box and slipped them on – designed to maximise ease and comfort, these shoes need serious consideration when you are looking for your next pair to invest in.
For those who prioritise maximum comfort, walkability, and ease of use, these shoes are a top contender. Skechers have fit in loads of their comfort innovations and in addition made them attractive to those seeking a more traditional looking golf shoe.
PROS
Great looks if you like the traditional golf shoe style
“Slip-in” design works, even for people like me with wide feet!
Lots of features to maximise comfort and support your feet
100% waterproof
CONS
Make sure you choose soft spikes or spikeless (SL version) if you have a preference
Not so keen on the ‘Skechers slipins’ printed on the heel

As we wrap up our comprehensive review of the best golf shoes for men in 2026, it’s evident that there are plenty of top contenders for which golf shoes you should opt to go with.
Your final choice will hinge on your personal comfort, playstyle, and budget. We suggest that you try these shoes on, if possible, to identify the best fit for you.
Here’s to keeping your grip steady, your feet dry, and your style intact on the greens!
How do we test golf shoes?
At National Club Golfer, we are passionate about producing accurate and thorough reviews and making sure our testing process is rigorous so we get a good understanding of how each pair of shoes performs.
Each shoe is worn out on the golf course whilst playing golf, so we can get an idea of overall performance in terms of factors like comfort, grip, stability in the golf swing, waterproof protection and how they actually look on the golf course.
What is important when buying Golf shoes?
When buying new golf footwear it’s important to know what attributes or features you value the most before deciding on a brand or model to buy. For example, do you want spiked or spikeless shoes?
A lot of golfers think comfort is paramount when choosing a shoe, we are going to be standing in them for 3-5 hours right? Some golf shoes on the market have special insoles and cushioned mid-soles designed to keep your feet feeling fresh. Also it’s pretty common for golfers with wide feet to wear the wrong sized pair of golf shoes so its worth getting fit properly.
Grip is vital to good performance on the golf course as any foot slip in dry or wet conditions can not only cause the golf club to swing improperly but may also lead to an injury.
Nearly all golf shoes will either be fully waterproof or offer some kind of water resistance, and this is important as real die-hard golfers play in every weather condition. Having wet feet for 4 hours is not and will never be fun.
How good the shoe looks is of course subjective to personal style, but is important to any player. Do you prefer an athletic-looking shoe, or are you more traditional? Does your shoe offer on-course off-course style or do you want shoes purely for the course? Does the style of shoe you like have the best colour options for your golfing wardrobe?
Price is the last factor to consider. With the models above we have tried to find shoes at all different price points so if you want a shoe at a lower cost, you can get one. Or if you want to spend more, you can do that too. Importantly there is something for everyone.
What brands produce the best golf shoes?
All of the products in this best golf shoes 2026 article are picked from the brands that offer what we believe to be the best shoes on the market.
Do any pros wear spikeless golf shoes on tour?
As you will see on TV when watching the PGA, LPGA & DP World Tour, professionals wear both spiked and spikeless golf shoes, depending on their preference.
Some tour players are looking for extra stability and grip for maximum power creation that a spiked golf shoe might offer, and others are looking for the comfort and style that spikeless golf shoes offer. Some tour players prefer a running shoe style, and others a traditional classic leather shoe; there really isn’t a hard or fast rule as to what tour players wear.
A bit of a late bloomer to the game of golf, Max fell in love with the sport when he attended Saturday coaching sessions down at his local golf club after being inspired by friends and family members.
Max has remained a member of Eden Golf Club in Carlisle for a number of years now as he looks to get his handicap down into single figures. Most of his golfing career has been spent battling a permanent slice off the tee, which has led to some ugly rounds.
Having studied at the University of Sunderland, Max is starting out his dream career in sports journalism. During his time at university, he picked up valuable work experience at Reach PLC, BBC Radio Cumbria and GiveMeSport, whilst also getting work published in the Teesside Live. He also spent time working at a local weekly newspaper, Eskdale and Liddesdale Advertiser, as a general news reporter partially covering some local sport just north of the border in Langholm.
Max has just started his journey with the NCG working as the assistant equipment editor. He looks forwarded to reviewing the latest golf equipment, taking up an interest in reviews when buying his first golf club, a Cleveland RTX wedge.
With his bag not going under too many changes throughout the last few years, Max carries an M3 driver, Titleist GT3 Fairway Wood, M2 hybrid, a set of M2 irons, Callaway Jaws wedges and a TaylorMade Spider putter. And yes, Max is a bit of a self-proclaimed TaylorMade fan boy.
