FootJoy Fuel Sport Women’s golf shoes

FootJoy are often thought of for their classic looking shoes designs. The FJ Fuel Sport golf shoes are a little more on the sportier side, supporting a trainer look alike. Keeping with that theme, these are spikeless golf shoes meaning that they could act as multi-purpose footwear if desired.
At first glance, the plain white upper looks to be leather but when you take a closer look you can actually see the textured detail. This FootJoys breathable performance mesh. It is used in a few of their other shoes such as the latest FJ Pro SL.
They are constructed from stratolite foam that is designed to provide optimal support and control. When I was static or swinging I found these shoes very supportive. As these are spikeless golf shoes I wasn’t sure how much grip they would provide. The outsole features tour proven traction and I can only agree with that. There are little plastic spikes around the perimeter of the shoe with a corrugated midsection. The heel of the shoe sunk in a little but this couldn’t be felt as overall the whole sole was level. I was really impressed with how well it worked out on the course.

When it came to maintaining the conditon of these shoes they cleaned up really easily. They also didn’t crease too much as they don’t have a leather upper and the mesh is a little more forgiving in that area.
Overall, if you’re wanting a sportier FootJoy shoe as appose to the classic design then this is a great shoe to have.

Under Armour Women’s Charged Breathe 2 golf shoes

Straight away, I really liked the sporty styling of these and the subtle detailing. The white and blue neutral colour palette is very subtle and means you can wear this with a wide variety of outfits which is excellent.
The upper of this shoe is a breathable, durable microfiber leather upper with a waterproof membrane. While this wasn’t put to the test in Cyprus it has been back over here in the UK. These have helped my feet stay dry in downpours and also while searching for my ball in thick wet rough. Which is definitely impressive.
PROS
- Best in-category traction
- Neutral design goes with anything
- Extremely comfortable underfoot
- Supportive around ankle
CONS
- Only one colour option

FootJoy Pro SL Sport golf shoes

How good is this colourway?! I love the bright pink around the sole and the block sections of different colours.
As usual, I got these in a UK size 6 and the fit was perfect. Straight off the bat, these were an extremely comfortable pair of golf shoes. The stratofoam midsole cushioning feels really soft underfoot and I actually found the collar around the heel and ankle felt thicker and more cushioned in this model.

Underfoot Puma have included unique layers of cushioning, which they are calling Fusion Foam. This provides energy return to help your foot feel supported and fresh for the whole round. These are the kind of shoes you put on and forget you ever need to change, they don’t feel heavy to walk around in, and the versatility of the design means you can easily put these on at home and go into the clubhouse or bar afterwards in them.
These are made from a waterproof seam-sealed microfiber leather upper with TPU skin. This makes the shoe completely waterproof so you can battle the elements while on the course. This waterproof seam-sealed upper definitely worked, as these have managed to keep my feet dry through numerous rainy days. These also come with a one-year waterproof warranty.
