Srixon is back with an update to their player’s iron range, they have stuck with the original ZX range because if it ain’t broke, don’t fit it.
Srixon ZX MKII Irons
A few key technologies are shared across the ZX iron range. First up is the Tour V.T Sole. The proprietary sole width, bounce angles and notches improve turf interaction, encouraging the club to glide smoothly through the turf.
The irons also feature progressive grooves. From 3-iron to 7-iron we see wider grooves these create ideal launch conditions for longer shots. When we move down the bag the 8-iron to AW has deeper, closer-set grooves that cut through the ground to enhance spin on approach shots. There is also laser milling between each groove to increase friction in all conditions.
The ZX5, ZX4 and ZX models feature mainframe technology. This is a variable thickness pattern of grooves, channels, and cavities milled into the back of the club face. It boosts ball speed and also positions the mass nearer the toe for better forgiveness and consistency on every shot.
Srixon ZX7 MKII Irons
These are a true players’ irons, they are designed for better ball strikers and aim to deliver soft feel, control and workability.
This is the only model to feature pureframe technology. This forged section of 1020 carbon steel sits directly behind the sweet spot to deliver an enhanced level of feel by reducing unwanted vibrations.
