Favourite course of the year?
Trump International Golf Links – It’s a course like no other I have played and was a unique experience. I challenge anyone to stand on the 14th and 18th tees and not feel the hairs on the back of their neck stand up.
Place you are most jealous someone else played?
Royal Troon – To play an Open venue weeks before the Championship itself must add a whole new dimension to watching the tournament.
Place you most messed up?
Moor Allerton – Throwing away my opening match in the Sports Pub Summer Matchplay. I never recovered.
Place you were most surprised by?
Swinley Forest – I had heard it was good but never expected it to be on a par with Sunningdale. If you ever get the chance to play here, cancel all other plans immediately.
Place you are going to get to next year?
Moortown – It’s quite ridiculous that I’ve never played it seeing how close it is to our office. I’ve walked the course, shot videos, had tea in the clubhouse, sniffed the history in the locker room..
