What does the 2019 US Open champion and PGA Tour Courage Award winner have in play for the 2026 season?

Gary Woodland is a PGA Tour stalwart and experienced his crowning moment when winning the US Open at Pebble Beach in 2019.

This was his most recent PGA Tour win, until the end of March 2026, when he won the Houston Open.

He now has five in total and was victorious for the first time in 2011 at the Transitions Championship. In 2018, he won the Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale, one year before pipping an in-form major beast in Brooks Koepka by three shots at the US Open.

In August 2023, Woodland publicly revealed that he had been diagnosed with a brain lesion. He subsequently underwent extensive brain surgery in September, 2023.

In February 2025, Woodland received the PGA Tour Courage Award.

Let’s see what clubs he uses in 2026 – a year that has seen in return to the winner’s circle with a win at the Houston Open.

At the top of his bag, Woodland uses the new Cobra OPTM MAX K driver.

When it comes to the fairway wood he opts for the Ping G440 Max.

He then chooses to game a Wilson utility iron before moving into Cobra irons.

At the start of 2023, Woodland signed a deal with Cobra. It was his first set of clubs and the brand dominates his bag. While he still uses a Wilson Staff utility iron in 18 degrees, Woodland has a full set of Cobra irons thereafter.

“My first set of clubs I ever got as a kid was a Cobra set,” Woodland said at the 2023 Sony Open in Hawaii. “My first couple of clubs were cut-downs from my mum, but my first junior set of clubs was a Cobra set, so it’s kind of a dream to actually play them out on tour. It’s pretty cool.”

“I’ve had flexibility in the past with the driver, which is a good thing, but I absolutely fell in love with the driver,” he added.

Woodland had been a Wilson staffer since 2019 but he has always played with metal woods from different brands such as TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping, Titleist and Cobra.

He has three Cobra wedges, but at the bottom of the bag, he also use a Cleveland RTZ Tour Rack 60 degree wedge.

For his putter, Woodland opts for the Scotty Cameron GoLo Tour Prototype (mallet) and the ever-popular Titleist Pro V1 golf ball, a ball that so many PGA Tour stars have in play in the modern-day game.
