Chris Gotterup turned professional in 2022 after an impressive amateur career – winning the Jack Nicklaus Award as top college golfer.

He has now won four times as a Professional, most recently an impressive win at the Phoenix Open after a closing round of 64 and a win on the 1st playoff hole versus Hideki Matsuyama.

This is his second win in 2026, after claiming the 2026 Sony Open in Hawaii. This follows up an impressive 2025 where he was victorious at the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open. Before that his maiden tour victory was in 2024 on the PGA Tour at the Myrtle Beach Classic.

Known for his big hitting off the tee he is now developing a more all round game – which was demonstrated with his skills over the links in Scotland and Ireland in 2025 – and with two victories already in 2026 he might well be an outsider for a Major this year.

What’s in Chris Gotterup’s bag?

At the top of the bag he opts for the Ping 440 LST driver – ideal for the faster swinger golfers.

He then switches to TaylorMade for his mini driver and fairway wood – with the TaylorMade BRNR Mini Copper and the Qi4D five-wood and seven-wood.

However, when the conditions suit he sticks with TaylorMade for his utility iron instead of putting a seven-wood in play – a club that has grown massively in popularity over the past few seasons. His iron set-up then moves into Bridgestone irons 4-9 iron – before going back to TaylorMade for his wedges.

He sticks with the TaylorMade and Bridgestone mix on the greens – with a TaylorMade spider putter and a Bridgestone golf ball.

Let us take you through the Chris Gotterup WITB 2026 rundown…
