It’s one of the four biggest events on the men’s golfing calendar. How many winners of the US Open can you name on our quiz?
The US Open is the second-longest continuously-running golf tournament in the world, dating back more than 125 years to its inception in 1895.
It is one of four major golf tournaments in the men’s game, alongside the Masters Tournament, PGA Championship and the Open Championship.
Over the years, there have been 91 different champions. Those winners have come from 11 different countries across five continents.
Before Bryson DeChambeau won again in 2024, the last five winners were all first-time major winners, while there have only been two non-American victors since 2015.
The US Open Championship Trophy is one of the best prizes in the sport, and one that every male golfer wants to get their hands on.
