Now it’s Fitzpatrick’s turn! It’s raining aces at the US Open
It’s supposed to be a 1 in 12,000 shot for most of us – but the players can’t seem to stop making aces at the US Open.
Matt Fitzpatrick joined Matthieu Pavon and Sam Burns in recording a hole-in-one as he became the third player this week to hit the perfect shot at the par-3 15th at Los Angeles Country Club.

The defending champion, who won his maiden major at Brookline last year, pitched it onto the slope on the 115 yard hole and was already on his way walking as it spun back right into the centre of the cup.
The Sheffield star looked stunned, and then delighted, when the cheers went up as it became clear he’d posted the 51st hole-in-one in US Open history and was putting a “1” on the scorecard.
It was also his first ace on the PGA Tour.
