Social Spotlight: Justin Thomas continues hot streak

Sergio Garcia makes a big announcement, Justin Thomas continues his hot streak and Rory goes on an adventure..

Ian Poulter is living a golfers dream

The Englishman has been out of the spotlight for some time now after he recovers from his latest injury. But after this latest tour around his office, aka ‘golf club paradise’, he’s got everyone talking about him again.

Little wonder thru the office…

A video posted by Ian Poulter (@ianjamespoulter) on

Can I move in? In all fairness, this is an unbelievable collection of clubs and Ryder Cup golf bags, fair play for keeping them all.

That’s not the end of it, though!

Poulter must have dozens of putters and wedges from over the decades, which he auctions off online for charity.

Rory McIlroy named his dog Ernie Els

Yes, you heard that correctly, earlier this week Rory McIlroy revealed that he named his dog after South African legend Ernie Els.

It all goes back a very long way, back to 2008 in fact. The pair both teed it up in 2008 and here’s some trivia for you, McIlroy’s caddy JP used to caddy for Els.

Rory’s comments to Sky Sports show how natural their relationship is.

Ernie was the first big, big name I had played with as a pro. I was nervous but I remember teeing off the tenth tee and I hit three wood past his driver and I thought ‘this is alright!

Anything I can do to help Ernie I always will. I actually named my first dog after Ernie – I called him Theo (Els’ first name). It’s been a good relationship.

Rory and Ernie rekindled their friendship in the new year with McIlroy playing in the BMW South African Open which Els’ hosts.
