Min Woo Lee: Player Profile

Who is Min Woo Lee?

Min Woo Lee is one of Australia’s best young talents in golf, and he is already a three-time winner on the DP World Tour.

Born in 1998, Lee has followed in the footsteps of older sister Minjee Lee, who is a two-time major champion in the women’s game. Lee won the US Junior Amateur in 2016, and in doing so, the siblings became the first brother/sister combo to win their respective USGA titles. Minjee won the US Girls Junior Amateur four years prior.

Min Woo turned professional shortly before his 21st birthday, and has gone on to achieve great things in his fledgling career to date. His first professional victory came on home soil at the ISPS Handa Vic Open in February 2020, and he has another two DP World Tour titles under his belt already.

Lee also achieved Rolex Series winner status in 2021, when he won a play-off to clinch the Abrdn Scottish Open crown. Another win came on home soil at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship, which was four weeks after a record-breaking win on the Asian Tour. He finished the SJM Macao Open with an aggregate total of 254, finishing 30-under for the week.

His best major finish came at the US Open in 2022, where he came home in a tie for 5th place. Although Lee is yet to appear in the Presidents Cup for the International team, it can only be a matter of time until he does so.
