Maximum speed and distance off the tee and the turf

Callaway introduce XR, XR Deep and XR Pro fairway woods

Callaway have launched brand new fairway woods as part of the XR range – the company’s fastest ever.

The range includes the XR Deep fairway wood – designed for improved use off the tee, the XR, XR Pro fairway woods, XR and XR Pro hybrids.

With the fairway woods the brand insist they have started from scratch and changed everything from the face cup to the head shape.

The forged hyper speed face cup increases ball speeds across the face for greater distance and forgiveness – especially off the tee.

More distance, lower spin and versatility are the highlights of adding a re-engineered internal standing wave.

The completely redesigned shape is suited to deliver higher speeds for more yards off the tee, and the fairway.

XR Deep features and benefits

  • Higher ball speed and forgiveness across the face

Increased ball speed all across the face makes these clubs easier to hit with more forgiveness.

  • More distance and versatility off the tee

A lower CG, a lot less spin and even more ball speed are a result of moving the weight low and more forward.

  • Completely redesigned head shape

The progressive face height and deeper face are designed to be used off the tee.

  • Speed from maximum shaft load

Callaway have added a new Project X LZ which produces maximum shaft load during the downswing for greater energy transfer to the ball.

XR Fairway features and benefits

  • Higher ball speed and forgiveness across the face

The face is up to 36 per cent thinner to increase ball speed and forgiveness with a 16 percent larger sweet spot.

  • More distance and versatility for any shot

A 20 per cent lower CG, 200 rpm less spin and even more ball speed with low and forward CG.

XR Pro Fairway feature and benefits

  • Completely redesigned head shapes for better players

A deeper face than the XR fairway wood makes this club more playable off the tee.  The CG weighting and sloping crown makes it easier to shape the ball and create a draw compared to its predecessor – X2 Hot Pro.
