Best par 3 holes in golf
We run down some of the best par 3 holes on the planet
4. 8th Hole, Royal Troon
Nicknamed the ‘Postage Stamp’, the 8th hole at Royal Troon is one of the most picturesque but tricky par-3s in all of golf.
It requires a wedge in calm conditions, which can seem fairly simple, but when harsh winds from the Irish sea whip across the hole it can make it very difficult to hit the narrow putting surface which is just eight yards in width.
Missing the green can prove costly with a bunker five feet in depth at lining the green.
