Jordan Spieth’s meltdown in the final round at the 2016 Masters will go down as one of the biggest moments in the competition’s history.

A Google search of Spieth’s name still brings up current news articles about that moment when the two-time Major winner let a seemingly assured victory slip through his grasp in spectacular fashion.

However, it is easy to forget after that incident, especially with the way Spieth acts and plays like a seasoned veteran, that the Texan is just 22 years old and must have been under immense pressure.

Despite his career being in its infancy, Spieth already has seven wins on the PGA Tour, including two Majors.

To celebrate his remarkable talent, here are five of his greatest shots to enjoy.

9. Fade away shot

During the 2015 Farmers Insurance Spieth found himself in deep rough between the 13th green and bunker.

He cleverly came up with a jump shot in order to get a clean hit on the ball.

He would two putt but saved par.

8. Inches from an albatross at the Tour of Champions

Spieth was inches away from an albatross on the last hole during the third round of the Hyundai Tour of Champions.

This shot set-up and eagle that would help him add to his long list of tour victories.

7. Swinging birdie putt to take US Open lead

Spieth faced a daunting birdie putt on the par 4 16th at the 2015 US Open. The Masters champion needed to hole the putt to take the lead and put pressure on the groups behind.

In Spieth like fashion the Texan holed the putt and showed his passion while doing so.

6. The birth of Jordan Spieth’s PGA Tour career

Spieth found himself in the bunker to the right of the 18th green. He needed a spectacular shot in order to force a play-off at the least.

His 44 foot bunker shot bounced one hit the flag stick and rolled down into the hole to secure Spieth a final round of 65 and a spot in the play-off.

Spieth went on to win his maiden tour victory.

5. Joy for Jordan Spieth at the 2014 Hero World Challenge

It looked like Spieth’s precision putting was going to rescue him at the 2016 Masters and land him a second consecutive Green Jacket.

Sadly for Spieth, not even his putting could rescue his tournament after a quadruple-bogey on the 12th hole.

But a monster 45ft birdie putt on the 18th at Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Florida during the 2014 Hero World Challenge shows his quality around the greens.

4. Shot that helped clinch the US Open

It is at vital moments that big players step up with crucial shots.

Spieth was in a three-way tie for first place at the 2015 US Open with Dustin Johnson and Louis Oosthuizen when he lined up his second shot on the par-5 18th.

The plucky youngster smashed a 3-wood to the back of the green and the ball slid not far from the hole to set up an eagle chance.

Spieth missed his eagle putt but had a tap-in for birdie to take the outright lead.

Johnson’s missed putt for birdie on the same hole handed Spieth the title.

3. A cheeky hole-in-one

Is there a better feeling in golf than bagging a hole-in-one? It’s football’s equivalent of smashing in an overhead kick – everyone, even your rivals, can’t help but admire the quality of the finish.

Spieth’s sublime hole-in-one at the 2015 BMW Championship at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Indiana was greeted with high fives from his playing partners Rickie Fowler and world No 1 Jason Day.

The Texas superstar hit a 7-iron at the par-3 2nd and the ball bounced once on the edge of the green and sped right for the centre of the hole.

The stuff of dreams.

2. Pin shot on the way to Masters glory

Spieth recorded some amazing shots on his way to a resounding victory at the 2015 Masters and his ambitious effort on the par-4 14th during the first round was one of the best.

Presented with a tricky position behind a tree, Spieth fired a low shot towards the green and the ball smacked against the pin and almost dropped in for an eagle.

Spieth’s reaction after the shot suggests he didn’t have a clue that the ball had hit the pin.

1. What a chip!

<> during the third round of the John Deere Classic held at TPC Deere Run on July 11, 2015 in Silvis, Illinois.

Shots don’t get much better than Spieth’s chip at the par-5 17th at the 2015 John Deere Classic. Wait, it was for an eagle? Well, that just makes it even more special.

Spieth was crowned champion of the competition at TPC Deere Run in Illinois and with shots like this it is easy to see why.

Take a bow, son!
