The Open Championship is the longest-running tournament in golf, and first began way back in 1860. Prestwick played host to the event for the first decade, but since it has moved around the country.
A total of 14 venues have been lucky enough to call the Open home at some point in their history, with the likes of Royal Troon, St Andrews and Royal Birkdale among them.
It is one of four major golf tournaments in the men’s game, alongside the Masters Tournament, PGA Championship and the US Open.
Since the conclusion of World War II, there have been 79 editions of the Open Championship, and in recent years, there has been a trend of first-time winners.
You have to go back to 2012 to find the last golfer to have lifted the Claret Jug for a second time… But can you name all these champions?
