Sung-Hyun Park is one of South Korea’s finest golfers of the 21st Century, with a pair of major championship victories in her career.
Born in the capital of Seoul in September 1993, Park took up the game from a young age, and turned professional at the age of just 19. It would be a couple of years before she made her breakthrough on the LPGA Tour of Korea, but when she did, she just would not stop winning. Park secured ten victories in the space of 15 months, including six wins on the tour in 2016, as she topped the LPGA Tour of Korea’s Money List.
She graduated to the LPGA Tour for the 2017 season, and her first win would also be her maiden major victory. That came at the US Women’s Open, and she then went on to win the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship a year later. Park also has top ten finishes in the other three majors, including a runners’ up finish at the Evian Resort. In total, she has 18 worldwide wins, with seven of those coming on the LPGA Tour.
