Cameron Young is a young star on the PGA Tour, who finally got over the line to win his maiden tour title in August 2025.

Young was born in Scarborough, New York in May 1997, and was born into a golfing family. Both his father and his aunt were teaching professionals, with the former being the head professional at Sleepy Hollow Country Club. Young grew up playing the game, and spent four years in the collegiate system at Wake Forest University, where he won several times.

He also won two professional tournaments despite being an amateur. He was victorious at both the Lenox Advisors New York State Open and Westchester Open before graduating. His first wins as a pro came in 2021, as he won in back-to-back weeks on the Korn Ferry Tour. Young would have to wait four years for his first PGA Tour victory, though, despite having had seven runners-up finishes, including one at the Open Championship in 2022. The win came at the 2025 Wyndham Championship, where he cruised to victory.
