Austin Eckroat is one of the new crop of young Americans coming through on the PGA Tour, with two wins to his name already.
Born in Oklahoma in January 1999, Eckroat would remain in his home state to study at the University of Oklahoma – where he would play alongside some other golfing stars of the future. Following his graduation, he started his professional career on the Korn Ferry Tour, before earning his card to the PGA Tour for the 2023 season.
The American would have to wait another 18 months before claiming his maiden title. That came at the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches, as he won on the PGA Tour for the first time. He wouldn’t have to wait long for a second win, as he was victorious again before the end of the year. His second win was in Mexico at the World Wide Technology Championship, moving him into the top 40 in the Official World Golf Rankings for the first time in his career.
