For the first time in four weeks, the PGA Tour holds a ‘normal’ event, and it is the Rocket Mortgage Classic!

The Rocket Mortgage Classic is one of the youngest events on the PGA Tour schedule, with this being just the sixth edition of the competition.

The event dates back to just 2019, with Nate Lashley, Bryson DeChambeau, Cameron Davis, Tony Finau and most recently, Rickie Fowler (below), being victorious.

The Rocket Mortgage Classic made history with its inception, as it became the first ever PGA Tour event to be hosted within the city limits of Detroit.

It remains so to this day. The Detroit Golf Club will once again play host to the 2024 edition of the competition, a 36-hole venue in the state capital of Michigan.

Donald Ross was the man behind the design of both the North and South Courses at Detroit GC, and it is the South Course in which the tournament is played over.
