The major season is well underway. Rory McIlroy is finally the Masters champion, and the shackles are off. He now returns to Quail Hollow for the PGA Championship – a golf course where he has won four times on the PGA Tour.

The major season has so much more intrigue now that McIlroy has completed the career grand slam. It took him 11 attempts, but he did it. He has won the Wells Fargo Championship four times in the past at this venue, so you will want to tune in for the 2025 edition of the PGA Championship.

It is the second major championship of the year and will be held in North Carolina. Xander Schauffele is the defending champion after holding off Bryson DeChambeau in an exciting finish at Valhalla in 2024.

As per usual, the action will be available for UK viewers on Sky Sports throughout next week. Now we are in the thick of the major season, you will no doubt want to have a game of golf yourselves this weekend, while the very best battle it out for the Wanamaker trophy.

So when you come back from your own golfing exploits, we have the coverage schedule here for you to follow to catch all of your favourite players in action – in the UK, as well as the US.

PGA Championship: Schedule TV

Throughout the week, Sky Sports will be showing various highlight shows and official films of the PGA Championships gone by.

The coverage of the PGA Championship will start on Thursday, May 15, in the early afternoon and continue for the rest of the day. This format will remain consistent throughout the week on Sky Sports Golf and Sky Sports Main Event.

Championship Sunday, May 18, will begin on Sky Sports Golf at 1 pm, and every angle will be covered to see who lifts the famous trophy and experiences major glory.

The Sky Sports team of Ewen Murray, Wayne Riley, Nick Dougherty, Henni Zuel, Dame Laura Davies, Andrew Coltart and various other names and faces have become staples of the viewing experience of the UK golf fan.

In the USA, ESPN will have control of the first two days of play but on the last two days, CBS and Paramount+ will be where you can watch the action if you find yourselves on that side of the pond.

There is also some more extensive coverage options you can reach throughout the week, and not just by television. You can listen to SiriusXM on day one of tournament week, May 12, to take in some pre-championship coverage.

There is the same option on Tuesday, May 13 too, and ESPN+ also has coverage between 5 pm and 8 pm eastern time. Every base is covered when it comes to the second major of the year.

Both SiriusXM and the ESPN+ coverage is back on Wednesday, the day before the PGA Championship starts at Quail Hollow. After that, there is all manner of coverage on each day of the championship, including morning and afternoon featured groups, a pre-game radio show, the main broadcast and the CBS Clubhouse Report at the end of the day.
