Is young Swede Ludvig Aberg set for a sensational Ryder Cup debut? This PGA Tour pro seems convinced of it…
As Luke Donald scratches his head over his Ryder Cup picks, one PGA Tour pro believes he has the answer.
Byeong Hun An is convinced Ludvig Aberg should occupy a spot on the European side heading to Rome later this month.
“Aberg for the Ryder Cup is a no brainer,” the former BMW PGA Champion posted on X. A big fan of the young Swede indeed.
Having ended a stellar college career on top of the PGA Tour University rankings, Aberg turned professional earlier this year and has performed admirably in America and Europe since.

He has four top-25 finishes in seven appearances on the US circuit, headlined by a tied-for-fourth finish at the John Deere Classic. Aberg also came tied for fourth at the D+D Real Czech Masters last week.
The 23-year-old played with captain Donald at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in July, making the most of his audition by shooting a 65.
Aberg was also paired with European vice-captain Nicolas Colsaerts at this week’s Omega European Masters in Switzerland.
The Belgian said Aberg has it “on a string from tee to green” and his driver is “an incredibly powerful weapon” when talking to Sky Sports.
An is not alone in his admiration of the up-and-coming star, but with the likes of Yannik Paul, Robert MacIntyre and Nicolai Hojgaard fighting for Captain’s picks too, Aberg’s inclusion mightn’t be as clear as first thought.
