Grant Thornton Invitational prize money
Here is the payout for each and every pair at this week’s mixed event on the PGA Tour…
A breath of fresh air came over professional golf last week. How lovely.
The Grant Thornton Invitational was the first PGA-LPGA Tour co-sanctioned event since the JCPenney Classic in 1999.
A host of men’s and women’s stars teed it up in pairs at Tiburon Golf Club which hosted the previous edition of the event – the QBE Shootout.
The format contained 16 teams of two and they played three formats: scramble, foursomes and modified fourball.
The first round was a scramble, the second round was foursomes and the third round saw a new format where both players tee off and then switch balls for their second shots and play that ball until it goes in.
The lower score of the pair made the team’s score.
Here was each duo:
Madelene Sagstrom & Ludvig Aberg
Allisen Corpuz & Cameron Champ
Brooke Henderson & Corey Conners
Lilia Vu & Joel Dahmen
