Ever wondered how players qualify for the Amundi Evian Championship? We have put together a guide detailing every way a golfer can find their way into the field

Amundi Evian Championship qualify

The Amundi Championship will feature 132 players from around the world, but how do these golfers qualify to play at the Evian Resort?

This is the fourth women’s major tournament of 2024. Mao Saigo won the Chevron Championship, with Sweden’s Maja Stark victorious at the US Women’s Open at the start of June.

There are several ways in which players can qualify for the Amundi Evian Championship. In total, there are more than 10 different criteria that golfers can meet to gain a spot in the field.

Former winners, major winners, those at the top of Order of Merits, and sponsors exemptions will all be in the field in Evian-les-Bains this week.

Here is how to qualify for the 2025 Amundi Evian Championship…

Win the Amundi Evian Championship
If you’ve won this event in the past, then you will always be invited back! It’s as simple as that!

Win the Chevron Championship
Winners of the Chevron Championship from the previous five years will receive an invite to play at the Women’s PGA Championship.

Win the US Women’s Open
Winners of the Women’s PGA Championship from the previous five years will receive an invite to play at the Women’s PGA Championship.

Win the AIG Women’s Open
Winners of the AIG Women’s Open from the previous five years will receive an invite to play at the Women’s PGA Championship.

Win the Women’s PGA Championship
Winners of the Women’s PGA Championship from the previous five years will receive an invite to play at the Amundi Evian Championship.

Finish in the top 10 of the previous year’s Amundi Evian Championship
Those that finished in the top ten and ties at the Evian Resort in 2023 will receive an invite to play at the 2024 edition of the tournament.

Win an LPGA Tour event
Players who have won an individual event on the LPGA Tour in the last two seasons will receive an invite to play at the Women’s PGA Championship

Be a Top 50 player
Those ranked in the top 60 of the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings will receive an invite to play at Sahalee.

Play well in the season leading up to the event
The rest of the field will be filled with the highest-ranked players on the LET’s Order of Merit and the LPGA Tour’s season-long Race to CME Globe Points List. Those within the threshold will receive an invite to play at the Amundi Evian Championship.

Win a top amateur event

Winning either the Amateur Latin America Championship, the Amateur Championship, the US Amateur, the Augusta National Women’s amateur, and the Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship will get you into the Evian.

Know the right people…
There are a number of sponsors and tournament exemptions, as well as special exemptions, with players not already in the field receiving invites for the Amundi Evian Championship.
