In August, when the major season is over, the LIV roster heads to Chicago in the end-of-season run at Bolingbrook.
The event somewhat starts a run of events in three consecutive weeks. The players head to The Club at Chatham Hills in Indianapolis, and then they have the Team Championship in Michigan at the end of the month.
Bolingbrook is an hour outside of Chicago and it was designed by Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest. There are elevated tees, rolling fairways, and it is a course that features a true island par 3 green and a 600-yard par 5.
Chicago will host the 12th event of the LIV Golf season. As per usual, in each LIV Golf event, the stars will be out, and it is the same roster of stars playing each week, including Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed, Cameron Smith, Tyrrell Hatton, Joaquin Niemann and Sergio Garcia.
Rahm won at Bolingbrook last year, beating the star player of the year, Joaquin Niemann, by three shots. Sergio Garcia was also tied for second.

There are 13 regular LIV Golf events in the 2025 season with a team championship finale at the end in Michigan. At each event, there is an individual competition and a team competition.

The top 24 golfers on the 54-man leaderboards will score points. The top eight teams on the 13-team leaderboard score points. To no one’s surprise, the player with the lowest stroke play score after 54 holes wins the event.
In the team format, all players’ scores in each four-man team count for all three days of the event. Before 2025, only the top three scores from each team counted for the first two days, and all four counted for the final round.
Who owns LIV Golf?
The Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, a sovereign wealth fund that is racing towards a trillion dollars in worth, is the primary investor of LIV Golf.
These riches would explain why the top stars have received huge sign-up fees, north of $100,000,000 in some cases, and why this start-up tour has made such a splash in the professional game.
