Golfers are assured of a huge payday when they succeed at some of the sport’s most prestigious tournaments. However, their right-hand man, the caddie, can also secure a monster pay cheque.
A caddie’s average weekly wage reportedly falls between $1,500 – $4,000, depending on the looper’s experience and whose bags they are holding.
The caddie can also earn bonuses based on player performance. It is understood that a bagman receives 10% of a player’s prize money in a week. That is the rough rule we’re looking to follow here.
With that in mind, we’ve looked at some top-earning caddies and trotted up what they will have earned in 2025.

Highest paid caddies 2025
Ted Scott
Player – Scottie Scheffler
With the World No.1 having already secured $27,659,550 in prize money in 2025, one man who will also be reaping the rewards is Ted Scott.
The veteran looper, who previously caddied for Bubba Watson, agreed to join forces with Scheffler in 2021, and the pair have experienced their fair share of success since. The 28-year-old secured his second Masters victory in April 2024 and won the PGA Championship and The Open in 2025.
Ted Scott’s base salary is reported to be around $135k. Add on to that a 10% bonus for every win, to which there have been a fair few, and the caddie may well have earned himself more than $2.7 million in 2025. It appears answering Scottie’s call back in 2021 has turned out to be a very profitable decision indeed.

Harry Diamond
Player – Rory McIlroy
Rory Mcllroy’s long-time friend and caddie since 2017, Harry Diamond, is up there as one of the wealthiest caddies in the game.
The Northern Irish golfer has already racked just under $17 million in prize money in 2025, thanks to winning the Masters, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Players Championship. So this gives you an idea of how much Diamond earned in 2025.

When Diamond isn’t on the former No.1’s bag, he is running several of his own businesses that include bars and hotels, so overall, we think his bank account is doing just fine.

Austin Kaiser
Player – Xander Schauffele
Bolstered by his triumph at The Open at Troon, Xander Schauffele’s season earnings surpassed $18 million in 2024. Austin Kaiser, who has been by the Californian’s side since the start, should have received upwards of $1.5 million in 2024, given the assumed percentages regarding the caddies.
After winning the Claret Jug, Schauffele went on to come tied for fourth at the Tour Championship at East Lake. In 2025, Schauffele still squeezed in a win at the end of the season despite a disappointing campaign. He earned just under $5 million, so Kaiser might have earned about half a million dollars this year.

Gary Matthews
Player – Joaquin Niemann
Since LIV Golf’s inception, the Saudi-funded league hasn’t been afraid to throw money around. Massive prize purses and huge contracts have made certain golfers very rich indeed.
One of these men is Chile’s Joaquin Niemann. The Torque GC captain earned over $12 million in 2024, with his bagman, Gary Matthews, alongside him during wins in Mexico and Saudi Arabia last season.
The South African caddie, who has previously worked with the likes of Sergio Garcia and Tim Clark, looks to have netted himself over $1 million. Things got better for this duo when Niemann won the Saudi International at the end of 2024 and won LIV Golf Adelaide at the start of 2025. In total, Niemann banked over $68 million with LIV Golf through 2025, which is another indicator of how much Matthews has earned to this point.

Gregory Bodine
Player – Bryson DeChambeau
Since Bodine teamed up with DeChambeau in mid-2023, the pair’s partnership has proven to be very successful, with victories at LIV Golf Greenbrier and Chicago in 2023. In June 2024, ‘The Scientist’ picked up his second US Open victory at Pinehurst, collecting $4.3 million in the process.
As a result, Bodine secured $430,000 for his efforts if we follow our assumed caddie pay model, and with DeChambeau having made over $13 million in 2024, the American’s looper is sure to have secured a hefty figure.
Through the 2025 season, DeChambeau has earned over $47 million with LIV Golf – another sign that Bodine has been very well compensated in his time with DeChambeau.

Adam Hayes
Player – Jon Rahm
Jon Rahm earned a lot of money when he was on the PGA Tour, and he hasn’t slowed down since joining LIV Golf at the start of the 2024 season. He and his caddie Adam Hayes have a longstanding relationship, having joined forces in 2016.
They won 11 times on the PGA Tour before the LIV move, and won the 2021 US Open and the 2023 Masters. Since switching to the Saudi-funded circuit, Rahm has largely been the standout player, and although he didn’t win an event in 2025, he bagged the individual season title.
In just 26 LIV events through the end of the 2025 schedule, Rahm earned over $74 million in prize money. If we are to apply the 10% rule again, Hayes would have pocketed well over $7 million for his troubles in this time.
Ian Finnis
Player – Tommy Fleetwood
Like Rahm and Hayes, Tommy Fleetwood has been paired with caddie and friend Ian Finnis for donkey’s years. Throughout all of the disappointments and the victories, they have been together and they experienced their crowning moment so far in August 2025 when winning the Tour Championship on the PGA Tour.

This was their first win in the United States, and in the following October, Fleetwood secured the DP World India Championship title in Delhi. Fleetwood is a serial winner across the world and since the Merseyside duo first worked together in 2016, they have earned a lot of money.
In 2025, Fleetwood earned over $18 million on the PGA Tour, and that doesn’t include his earnings from the DP World Tour. This would mean that Finnis will have earned around the $1.8 million mark.
