Emily Kristine Pedersen made history on Friday as she struck just the second hole-in-one in Solheim Cup history.
Pedersen was playing alongside rookie Maja Stark in the afternoon fourballs, with the pair 1-down to Jennifer Kupcho and Allisen Corpuz.
All three of her playing partners found the green on the par-3 12th at Finca Cortesin, with Pedersen the last to play.
The Dane’s ace on the 12th levelled their match in the afternoon session, as they aimed to recover from a 4-0 whitewash in the Friday morning foursomes.
She played in the morning foursomes session alongside Charley Hull, but the pair were heavily beaten, losing 5&4 to Ally Ewing and Cheyenne Knight.
Pedersen is playing in the Solheim Cup for the third time in her career.
Sweden’s Anna Nordqvist is the only other golfer in history to have scored an ace in the Solheim Cup.
The Swede, who is also playing this week in Andalucia, made a hole-in-one exactly a decade ago at the Colorado Golf Club.
