David Puig is one of several young European golfers who have won professional tournaments at a young age.
He was born in La Garrida, Spain in late 2001. Puig went on to have a successful junior career, representing his country at numerous international events. Those included the European Boys Team Championship and European Amateur Championship. He also played in the Junior Ryder Cup and Arnold Palmer Cup for the European side.
The Spaniard made the move stateside in 2019, enrolling at Arizona State University where he played for the Sun Devils. The team made the NCAA Championships in 2022, with Puig winning three times during his collegiate career. He cut that short to turn professional, joining the LIV Golf League and Asian Tours.
His first victory came in October 2023, when he went wire-to-wire to win the International Series Singapore. That was followed by a second victory on the Asian Tour in early 2024, after shooting a pair of 62s on the weekend to win the IRS Prima Malaysian Open. He currently plays for Fireballs GC in the LIV Golf League under team captain Sergio Garcia. Despite that, he also took a victory on the DP World Tour in November 2025, his first on the Tour, winning the BMW Australian PGA Championship.
