Bryson DeChambeau is one of the most box office golfers in the world. He draws crowds to the course and eyes to the television.
He won nine times on the PGA Tour, including a US Open title, before he controversially switched to the Saudi-funded LIV Golf League in 2022.
After initially struggling to find form, he won for the first time on the breakaway circuit in August 2023 at LIV Golf Greenbrier, the same event in which he shot a scintillating 58.
DeChambeau followed this up with another win in Chicago a month later, but this all acted as a build-up to the 2024 US Open at Pinehurst, where he won his second major title in a titanic battle with four-time major champion Rory McIlroy.
It was all the more important to DeChambeau to win this tournament a month after finishing second in another close-run thing to Xander Schauffele at the PGA Championship at Valhalla.
“I’m so happy I got that shot up and down on 18. Oh, man, I didn’t want to finish second again. PGA really stung. Xander played magnificent,” DeChambeau said after winning.
“I wanted to get this one done, especially at such a special place that means so much to me, SMU, my dad, what Payne meant to him, the 1000th USGA championship. Stack them on top. That bunker shot was the shot of my life. I’ll forever be thankful that I’ve got longer wedges so I can hit it farther, get it up there next to the hole (smiling).
“I don’t know what to think. It fully hasn’t sunk in yet. I just want everybody to enjoy it, as well. As much as it is heartbreaking for some people, it was heartbreak for me at the PGA. I really wanted this one. When I turned the corner and saw I was a couple back, I said, Nope, I’m not going to let that happen. I have to focus on figuring out how to make this happen.

“I was a little lucky. Rory didn’t make a couple putts that he could have coming in. I had an amazing up-and-down on the last. I don’t know what else to say. It’s a dream come true.”
After missing the Ryder Cup in 2023. DeChambeau played his way on to the team in 2025 through his major appearances in the 2025 season.
The Dallas resident has an irresistible quality on the golf course. That much is clear to see, but off the golf course, he has also excelled in the YouTube sphere. By creating videos with the likes of President Donald Trump, Phil Mickelson, and John Daly, DeChambeau has amassed over 1.5 million subscribers.
He has truly nailed the YouTube game and has inspired the likes of Tommy Fleetwood, Ian Poulter and Phil Mickelson to also try their hand at vlogging.
An aspect that has not always been clear in his life outside of the ropes though, is his love life. It seems DeChambeau has never had a recognised partner who has celebrated each of his wins with him in public.

Bryson DeChambeau wife-to-be? Meet Lilia Schneider
It has been rumoured on several occasions that DeChambeau is dating Lilia Schneider, a college golfer at Marian University in Indianapolis. There doesn’t seem to be anything official online with regard to this relationship, but the pair have previously been spotted riding a golf buggy together at a LIV Golf event.

College golf is a pretty outstanding level of the sport, so there is no question about Schneider’s own golf abilities. She also has over 56,000 followers on Instagram, a platform on which she follows DeChambeau, but there is no sign of an image placing the two together.
Not a lot more is known about DeChambeau and Schneider. They have made very few public appearances together, so we will need to keep our ears to the ground with regard to this relationship. What we do know is they’d make some match play pairing given Schneider’s college golf experience.
There was a previous rumour before this that DeChambeau was dating another college golfer named Hunter Nugent from the San Antonio golf team at the University of Texas. However, in September 2022, Nugent told OutKick that the duo were no longer seeing each other and that Schneider was the new face on the scene, having been mistaken for the person at the LIV Chicago event with DeChambeau.
