Tyrrell Hatton claimed his seventh DP World Tour title in Scotland as he pocketed $800,000 from the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship prize money.
The Englishman has now won the popular event in Scotland three times after making a birdie on the 18th hole at St Andrews to beat Nicolas Colsaerts by one shot.
It was a family affair as Hatton, alongside father Jeff, was almost victorious in the Team Championship section of the tournament. They came second to Thorbjorn Olesen and Dermot Desmond.
Hatton contended with a host of top names this year such as Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry, Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm and defending champion Matt Fitzpatrick.
LIV Golfers such as Talor Gooch, Hudson Swafford, Louis Oosthuizen and Dean Burmester also teed it up across the Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.
This year, the prize purse was $5 million again, $4 million less than the purses we see at Rolex Series Events.
