Twitter beef! Pepperell lays into Westwood after LIV Golf dig
It’s all been kicking off between Lee Westwood and Eddie Pepperell on social media as the pair engaged in an interesting dispute following the LIV star’s latest dig at the DP World Tour.
Westwood drew headlines earlier this week when he ridiculed the PGA Tour over their big money changes, and quickly turned his attention to the DP World Tour by responding to comments made by Jon Rahm about the revisions.
Rahm – a member of both the PGA Tour and DP World Tour – appeared flustered when asked about his future on the latter given the new commitments, for which Westwood then couldn’t help but chime in.
Taking a dig at the much-maligned agreement between the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour, Pepperell – who hasn’t been shy to share his criticism of LIV Golf – was then forced to weigh-in, hitting back at his fellow countryman before things got just a little fiery…
Hard to know what to make of you these days Lee. You’ve taken the money moving to LIV (which is fine), but surely keeping quiet would be a better, classier way to go about things at this point? Just a thought.

We’ll always disagree on this. I’ve watched the DPWT and Aus tour + others be bullied by the PGA tour for the last 25 years and don’t think we should roll over to them & you think we should be a feeder tour and lose all our best players to them. Thus becoming the 5th best tour.

We’re sure we haven’t heard the last of this.
