Honestly, just give these two their own sitcom. We’re all on the edge of our seats to see what happens next between Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau.
It all started when Koepka calling out DeChambeau’s “embarrassing” slow play antics, an incident that led to DeChambeau waltzing up Koepka’s caddie Ricky Elliott at a later event and asking him to tell his boss to come and speak to him like a man.
And then DeChambeau, when asked about Koepka’s ESPN Body Issue photoshoot, said: “I don’t know if his genetics even make him look good. He didn’t have any abs. I have abs.”
Koepka fired back on Twitter in spectacular fashion…
Fast forward to recent weeks and inevitably Koepka has been asked about his pantomime rival’s transformation in recent months. And he was actually quite nice.
“I have no problem with it,” he said. “If he’s going to put the work in, you can’t sit here and bitch and complain about him hitting it too far. He’s just taking advantage of technology.
“He’s obviously had to put in work. I think that’s what people forget. You’ve actually got to put in the work when no one is watching, and he’s done that. So props to him.”
But just as it starts feeling like a really bad coming-of-age teen comedy with the jock and the nerd realising they’re not so different after all, it takes another turn.
The latest chapter involves DeChambeau’s record-breaking win at the the Rocket Mortgage Classic that was soured by an incident during the third round when he confronted a cameraman for catching him in a “vulnerable” position, leading to widespread criticism of the six-time PGA Tour winner.
Koepka, though, didn’t say anything. Instead he just tweeted a rather suggestive clip of fictional character Kenny Powers from hit comedy Eastbound & Down…

I can’t wait for next week’s episode of the Brooks and Bryson Show.
Still, at least they don’t have to worry about being Ryder Cup teammates in September…
