NCG Summary

4.5 star review
NCG SUMMARY

Although I don’t often use push trolleys, I found the Wishbone Cube 3 to be a well-designed and premium-feeling option that made transporting my clubs much easier.

Its sturdy, modern build, easy assembly, and practical features like an umbrella holder and adjustable handle impressed me, especially during testing on the course.

While it’s not the cheapest trolley out there, its quality and thoughtful design suggest it offers good value for golfers seeking a reliable, stylish push trolley.

First Impressions

I have to admit to not using push trolleys all that much. That said, I have one in the shed at my club and when needed it can be a godsend. Wishbone are a company that I have not heard of previously and I am always interested in checking out brands new to me.

Where possible I test kit before reading the marketing blurb and looking at the prices. This was the case for the Wishbone cube 3 which I felt looked and performed towards the more premium end of the market.

It came well packaged and had a useful user manual with it. It was easy to assemble. I immediately liked the look of it too.

The double tube design was modern and sturdy with a nice contrasting livery. My test trolley was the off-white and red. It was fairly intuitive to put up and down but there is a knack that helps keep it stable so I would recommend following the instructions.

The height of the handle is adjustable, although I was happy with the height out of the box. I like the handle high on a push trolley.

It comes with a drinks holder and a decent sized storage compartment as part of the handle. It also came with an umbrella holder which I feel is a really good move on the part of Wishbone (I assume that is standard but I cannot see it referenced on any websites that it is included).

There are several little nubbins on the handle which look like they are for attaching accessories, but as of the time of writing I could not see anything on their website about this.

How I tested the Wishbone Cube 3 Push Trolley

I am a member at Alwoodley Golf Club and so used it during two full rounds of golf during the same week.

What I found

In use it was very easy to push. There was a bit of drift to one side initially but this is easily corrected by adjusting a couple of screws which is well explained in the manual. The base will fit the recesses of most bags and I found it to be very stable. My only minor gripe is that the design of the straps has two elastic straps which meet in the middle and could twist so getting them together could be a bit fiddly. It was not a major issue but I think it would have been better to have one fixed to the trolley.

The trolley rolled very easily and I found it easy to push a fairly heavy bag of clubs and other paraphernalia. It definitely made life easier. When the weather gets hot I like to load up with plenty of water and this is one of my main reasons for owning a push trolley. I should add that it has a foot brake which worked well.

Final thoughts

This is a well made and well designed trolley. Its adjustability makes it very ergonomic. Folded it is 39 x 46 x 57 cm and fitted easily in the boot of my not very big car boot.

As mentioned above I tested this before I had any idea of the price. It looked and felt premium and therefore the RRP seemed pretty much bang on what I would have guessed.

It is not the cheapest, but if my initial impressions and testing is anything to go by this still represents good value for what I feel is a quality trolley.
