Powakaddy launch lightweight trolley battery
Leading trolley manufacturer Powakaddy have launched a highly-compatible lithium battery into their range.
Dubbed ‘Powaplay’, the lithium battery is compatible with the vast majority of current electric trolleys, allowing golfers to upgrade to a higher-performing alternative rather than replacing the whole trolley.
Battery performance has been improved by the latest developments in lithium-ion technology, which Powakaddy claim can generate 20% more power compared to their competitors.
The battery will suit the trolleys golfers currently use, so they can upgrade without having to change all of their equipment" This gives the lithium battery a lifespan of up to five times that of lead acid versions, with the added benefit of faster charging times. This ensures that power will last a full 18 holes, with a 36-hole option also available.

“This means that the battery will suit the trolleys golfers currently use, so they can upgrade without having to change all of their equipment in one go.”

SRP: £199 for 18-hole option; £249 for 36-hole.
