First Impressions

I have exclusively used leather gloves for as long as I can remember now, so when I first tried this on it was all foreign ground to me.

Straight away, I was seriously surprised by just how soft and comfortable this glove is. I usually wear a women’s small glove and was sceptical about the ‘one size fits all’ system that Copper Tech use. I need not worry. The glove fit perfectly. My only qualm about the shaping would be the flared shaping around the wrist. It feels unnecessary and covers up an area of the wrist I like to keep free.

It is important to note if you do have hands on the smaller or larger ends of the spectrum, Copper Tech do offer XS and XL gloves outside of the standard one size fits all options.

The main point of difference with this glove is the palm. It is made from silicone with a series of different weave patterns to help maximise grip throughout the swing. This is a strange sensation to get used to when you first put this in play.

Over time, I quickly got used to this and really liked how it helped me grip and almost stick to the club better. The majority of amateur golfers struggle with a proper grip so having something that can help you hold the club correctly is a massive win.

I also really like the inclusion of a full-size ball marker on the top of the glove instead of a teeny tiny one that always tends to go missing.

If you are someone who likes to wear bold statement pieces there are definitely some colourful and fun options you can pick from here. I tested this pink option and a more neutral all white option.

On Course Testing

I have worn this glove in a variety of different situations now. Hot, cold, dry and wet conditions and it has always performed well.

One thing I have been really impressed with is the long-term durability. I usually always wear through the palm of my gloves, and currently, there is no sign of this. When it gets dirty you can simply pop it in the wash and it feels like it is brand new.

The gloves feature copper-infused technology, which is meant to offer improved circulation and oxygenation of joints and muscles, helping to prevent strain and fatigue. I have no way to prove if this is true or not but my hands did always feel good when playing in this.

Copper Tech has done a great job of creating something with a huge point of difference to the rest of the marketplace. The look and feel won’t be for everyone but for people who really want to have more grip, I think this is a great option.
