What’s new? How much do they cost? And how do they perform? Paul Miller brings you the low down on the Adidas Tour360 24 golf shoe.
What’s new? How much does it cost? And how does it perform? Paul Miller brings you the low down on the Adidas Tour360 Tour 24 Golf Shoe.
Adidas are well known for their casual and sporty looking golf shoes. The best example of this being the Adidas ZG23 worn by players such as Ludwig Aberg and Collin Morikawa. The release of the SG2 Spikeless Leather 24 seems to be yet another evolution of the Adidas casual sporty golf shoe offering.
In contrast the new Adidas Tour360 24 golf shoe provides the golfer with something a little different. It is a premium leather shoe that is more towards the traditional end of the golf shoe scale than the casual/sporty. It is also the shoe worn by the 2024 PGA Champion Xander Schauffele.
So, how did we find them? Find out in our Adidas Tour360 24 golf shoe review.
NCG SUMMARY
The moment you get these out the box and have them in your hand you can see this is a premium, substantial, leather golf shoe.
As someone with a wider foot, I have tended to shy away from Adidas shoes due to a belief that they are a narrow fit. On first glance these shoes do look narrow and so was thinking I am not even going to be able to get these on!
However, much to my surprise, once on they were absolutely fine and actually felt like they were made to wrap around my foot.
From a performance point of view if I was to sum up these shoes in one word it would be ‘stability’ and if allowed two words they would be ‘stability’ and ‘comfort’.
A fantastic shoe that has made someone ignore Adidas shoes in the past to seriously consider making these the go to golf shoe for most of the year.
PROS
- Premium look and feel
- Comfortable – even for someone with a wide foot
- Heel and sole design creates stability
CONS
- Unsure of how they will hold up over the entire season
Adidas Tour360 24 Golf Shoe: First Impressions
I don’t normally consider Adidas when it comes to golf shoes due to the belief they are a narrow fit. On opening the box and inspecting them this belief was still in tact as they do look narrow. That being said, as you take them out of the box and have them in your hand, they feel quality and premium. If you blindfolded me and asked me to guess the brand I might have guessed it was even a FootJoy.
On further inspection the design of the heel and sole are very noticeable. As highlighted in the picture below the heel has some foam cushioning whilst in the middle of the sole there is a gap. This gives the similar look as a ski boot when it slips into its binding – it is as if the shoe is bound into the front and back of the sole plate.
Quite simply, it is a great looking shoe that has clearly been well designed.
NCG Verdict
The Adidas Tour360 24 Golf Shoe is a quality addition to any golfer’s wardrobe, seamlessly blending performance, comfort, and style. From the first moment you slip into these shoes, it becomes evident that Adidas has put meticulous thought into their design – both from a comfort and aesthetic perspective.
Firstly, the comfort level of the Adidas Tour360 24 is felt immediately. The shoe features a responsive boost midsole, which provides excellent cushioning whilst you walk. This technology ensures that even after 18 holes on the course, your feet are not fatigued. The Boost midsole’s comfort is complemented by a soft and flexible upper that adapts to the shape of your foot, offering a snug yet non-restrictive fit.
For me, this combo of stability and freedom of movement is the best aspect about this shoe.
In terms of performance, the Adidas 360 24 exceeded my expectations. The shoe incorporates a robust outsole with strategically placed spikes, providing superb grip and traction whether on the flat or on a slope. Whether you are in the wet grass or uneven ground, these shoes offer the stability you need to maintain your stance and swing your club.
The Adidas 360 24 also shines in its design and aesthetics. Available in a variety of colours and styles, these shoes cater to different tastes while maintaining a modern look. The attention to detail in the stitching and materials used not only enhances durability but also adds to the overall appeal of the shoe.
Another notable feature is the shoe’s breathability. Golf can produce sweaty feet, especially in warm weather, and having footwear that allows your feet to stay cool is essential. The Adidas Tour360 24 incorporates breathable materials and a well-ventilated design, ensuring that your feet remain dry and comfortable throughout the round. I also did not suffer from any blisters on the heel and reflects the thought that has gone into the design of that aspect of the shoe.
In conclusion, the Adidas 360 24 Golf Shoe is a top-tier choice for golfers seeking a perfect blend of comfort, performance, style, and durability. Its innovative design and high-quality materials make it a standout option whilst providing the utmost comfort. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just starting, these shoes will undoubtedly provide style and comfort, making them a highly recommended addition to your golfing wardrobe.
For me, a 5 out of 5 rating and putting Adidas shoes firmly back on the radar when it comes to me considering a golf shoe. They are not for narrow feet only!
