It had been 250 starts – 11 years and the 2008 Canadian Open in fact – since Chez Reavie had last tasted victory.
But that came to an end in thrilling fashion, as the 37-year-old held off a spirited challenge from Keegan Bradley to get over the line at the Travelers Championship.
Reavie mostly employs TaylorMade clubs, using their woods and irons. But, at the sharp end of the set, that gives away to Titleist wedges and an Odyssey putter.
So let’s take a more detailed look inside Reavie’s bag…
What’s in Reavie’s bag?
We might be up to M5 and M6 but it’s the 2017 TaylorMade M2 driver that has helped Reavie become one of the most consistent players off the tee on the PGA Tour.
He might not be the longest hitter but the M2, at 9.5 degrees of loft, helps Reavie get it into play – he was 2nd in driving accuracy before the start of this week.
Reavie’s a bit more up to date when it comes to his fairways, using the M5 in both 3 and 5-woods. Aldila Rogue is his standard shaft in the woods, moving from the Silver in the driver to the White in the fairways.
The P-790 4-iron is the first of his irons and, from 5 to pitching wedge, he shifts to the P-750.
There’s a switch in the wedges, with Reavie employing three Titleist Vokey SM7 wedges at 50, 54 and 58 degrees. There’s eight degrees of bounce in the latter two, with the M grind preferred.
Finally, Reavie has the Odyssey Works No. 7 putter to thank as he enjoyed a stellar week on the greens at the Travelers. He employs the Titleist Pro V1 ball.
