First impressions: The Vapor range is Nike’s most distinctive to date and the Speed Irons really do catch your eye on the shelf.
The Speed version is aimed at the mid-to high handicappers who are looking for a bit more forgiveness but I don’t think the look of these would put off the better players either.
I’m not a fan of the stock grip as it feels a bit slippery to me but it’s not that difficult or expensive to add a new set of grips if you can’t get on with them.

Consider these if you want stylish well-manufactured irons that perform as well as anything we tested" NCG verdict: There’s something about the Nike Vapor range that really excites me and the Speed irons are no exception.
As good as anything to look at in the bag, on the shelf and at address.
These are another set of irons which perform just as well as they look.
Ridiculously easy to hit and it really feels like the ball is exploding off the face.
These could have been a winner for me but I have a problem with the stock grip – it’s too slippery for me.
