The Srixon ZXI Hybrid is a premium-feeling, high-performing club that I think successfully bridges the gap between long irons and fairway woods. With advanced face and head technologies, a wide footprint, and adjustable loft options, it offers a great blend of forgiveness and playability. Whether you’re a low-handicap player looking for control or a mid-handicapper in need of confidence and consistency, this hybrid delivers.
The ZXi boasts a clean, matte black crown which I have always found looks great on fairway woods and hybrids, especially at address. The colours way are also fairly understated, this is definitely something I prefer, I like a club head not to be overly busy. Srixon has included some minimalist silver and red colouring on the bottom of the club to provide some individualism.
In terms of how it differs with the previous Srixon hybrid, this one is equipped with a much larger footprint. This of course adds to its playability and confidence inspiring look. Srixon has clearly listened to tour feedback with its tour-shaped design, featuring a wider toe for added forgiveness without sacrificing appeal to better players.

During testing, I found the Srixon ZXi Hybrid proved to be long, consistent, and versatile. Using the 19° 3-hybrid, my ball speed averaged 139 mph, with a launch angle of 12 degrees and a spin rate around 4,000 rpm. My carry distance also averaged 211 yards, with total distance coming in at 227 yards. A peak height of 33 feet and a descent angle of 42 degrees indicate that the ball not only flies hot off the face but also has a good chance of stopping on the green, ideal for approaches.
All in all, I was quite happy with the data I was seeing. For me personally, I know my 5-iron carries around 195 yards so for this to go in my bag I’d need consistent carry yardages of 215. So, it is certainly long enough and fills that gap between the long irons and fairway woods nicely.

Even on off-centred hits, the ZXi maintained consistent performance, thanks to its larger head and forgiving face design. It was easy to launch, provided plenty of feedback, and delivered results that would suit a wide range of players. In truth I found ball striking to be pretty easy with this hybrid and it does perform like a proper scoring club.

Overall, I think the Srixon ZXi Hybrid delivers everything a modern hybrid should. It is forgiving, powerful, and adjustable, with a sleek design and premium components. This is all for a price that is less than your average hybrid.
I truly believe we are now seeing Srixon become more and more established in the hybrids and woods category. They have long shown their excellence when it comes to irons, and the ZXi Hybrid is a strong signal that the brand is serious about expanding its reach.
